PPF on the hood, front fenders, A pillars & leading edge of roof if you’re worried about rock chips. Ceramic if you want to rinse dirt off easier & keep it shiny. if you do the ceramic yourself - more time spent on paint prep & correction will improve final results proportionally. Use two...
With the Ronin plug you’ll never have to change the plug or the crush washer. When doing an oil change you can attach a short section of hose to direct the oil into any container.
Plus the anodized aluminum construction adds 5hp and 7ft/lbs of torque.?
Congrats! I think the first time you take the RR for some “spirited driving” you won’t miss the F150.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Ranger Raptor Assault. You don’t need to wait for the invite, you can sign up as soon as you get the truck.
Options where I live are 87/89/93 octane. If I were doing a long flat highway drive with no load I’d consider using 87. However, there are no flat roads here & much of my driving is 25 mile round trips so I use 93 for DD. There was a noticeable difference in performance between 87 & 93 octane...
Congrats! Recommend your first “mod” is to sign up for the Ranger Raptor Assault course in Utah. This truck has a ton of untapped capability & the course allows you to learn about it without beating on your own vehicle.
Just finished the driving school today and had an absolute blast! The facilities and instructors are top notch. The trucks are brand new and unmodified except for a bunch of stickers and a tire carrier in the bed.
for anyone thinking the truck NEEDS modification, I suggest taking this course...
+1
Either I was inadvertently leaning against it when placing/removing objects in the bed, or it just needed to “break in”. Mine hasn’t popped open unexpectedly in about a month.
Great to hear from other outdoor enthusiasts/MTBers here.
Agree the RR is a great shuttle and the 1-up is a super stable rack adaptable for up to 4 bikes. It’s not cheap, but quality never is.
mine traveled cross country on the back of my “toad” and was the least of my concerns on the trip.
I got the Ford 7/100 because I plan on keeping the truck the long. I have always fixed anything mechanical, including many engine swaps on my vehicles that didn't require a machine shop. Now the caveat includes electronic engine controls. I still do my own maintenance because I know it’s done...
Started riding around 1987 to get a first date with my wife. Still riding & married to the same girl. She’s a competitor, I’m a rider.?
Markal - looks to be Moab (porcupine Rim or part of the Whole Enchilada?) & possibly Scofield Pass/401 in your pics? Both are epic!
? …if Ford will prorate/refund the unused portion of the ESP then I prolly won’t be able to resist. 536ft/lbs of torque would make me smile while seeing tires go up in smoke!
I Better get those J braces installed first.
great to see Ford release this! Shows some confidence in the OEM powertrain. Another poster mentioned not “needing” this for a daily commute. No one needs it, but once you feel that extra low end grunt you will ”need” it.
having owned several different vehicles with various power adders I am...
No leaks here…yet. Have topped mine off a couple times but haven’t drained it fully. For what it’s worth - my wife’s Subaru outback, my Subie STI and my Ram 2500 each took a full gallon of fluid when empty.
