Just want to give a fair warning to you guys chasing the best 0-60, I brake boosted a launch and it detonated my rear diff. I had done it a few times but after I installed the tune it went kaboom. Thankfully Ford had my rear axle replaced in a week. Could have been a freak thing but who knows!
I wouldn't sweat it too much. I just had my rear axle replaced under warranty and they did not mention the tune at all. You could try to find a mechanic with an ASE cert to make you an invoice saying they installed it if you are worried.
It is next on the list for me. My main concern is the Fox bump stops, most people I come across at my shop either love them to death or hate them because they’re getting them rebuilt every 6 months.
It depends how you use it. If you’re going to be off-roading then probably not. I still tap my inner fenders with a 2.5” perch collar and 35” tires with a +35mm, but I drive the truck extremely hard. I also removed both of my crash bars. My buddy with a 2” perch collar and 35s separated his...
I charge 3 hours + alignment to install a pair of perch collars on Raptors. Even with the live valve suspension it is a simple install, 8 hours is wayyyy too steep.
So we need to send in the invoice to them? I wish they would make this a little clearer from the start. I don't know why they decided to keep all of these details and stipulations so vague.
I am still a bit confused on the whole ASA/Ford Dealer install. Do they need to enter anything saying they installed the tune? Or is all I am after just an invoice from an ASA certified shop or dealer in case Ford asks sometime down the line who did the work?
I couldn't say for sure, I would be surprised if that rubbed at all, but I have not done enough of a variety of setups on these trucks yet to say yes or no with confidence. If you are going to that offset I would just come to terms with removing the front crash bars so you aren't surprised if...
It seems like every-time I off-road my truck I drive home with a crooked steering wheel. A couple of times were pretty tough trails so I was not too surprised but this last weekend I went down a decently maintained forest service road to get to a lake and sure enough my wheel is crooked again. I...
Thank you I thought I was going insane. I cannot figure out what it is because there is not much rhyme or reason to it. It will either happen as soon as I turn the truck on or will happen 1-3 minutes after I set off. No accompanying message or warning
I'm not too sure yet, I'm stuck trying to figure out how to mount more Rigid/Baja Designs so hopefully they will release some bracketry for somewhere on the vehicle soon. Either that or if somebody starts making a light hoop in front of the grill I would throw on some LP4s.
I actually tried to mount this exact light bar the other day and it wasn't even close. I think MAYBE it could have fit if I started chopping things up but I didn't want to butcher all of that plastic only to find out it still wouldn't work. The brackets didn't line up with those bolts everyone...
35/12.50/17 Baja Boss M/T with a 17x8.5 +25mm offset. I removed the front crash bars but I have not had to touch the rears. Other than removing the front crash bars I have not had to trim at all. I did the same tire on a 17x9 +18mm offset for a friend of mine and we had to remove front and rear...
