Look at the tire placard in the door for the correct size of spare. My Lariat came with a 16inch spare, the tire placard said 17 for spare and the 18s for the road wheels. Ford replaced it under warranty to make it match the placard. The tire placard is governed by FMVSS and has to match what...
This seems weird to me that the coolant temp gauge did not move, but the oil temp went up. The heater is in the water jacket of the block not the oil pan. Those seem like weird results.
Side note. You are spoiling yourself by using the heater in the garage. I think it's pretty funny. My...
After about 600 miles, I had to make a pretty hard stop from 80mph to about 20 and really got on the brakes. After I did that, they have worked much better. I know from using some performance brake pads and rotors on other vehicles, it does take some heat to break them in. And from what I...
Oh, you mean all this stuff? Yeah, been waiting a while. Watching Ford make everything for the Bronco in order to take over the world and compete with Jeep.

This is the route I am going to take in a couple months. I met these guys at SEMA this year and they make a really nice light. You do have to cut your grill, which is a bummer, but there is not many options available and it...
There is not enough stud length for even a 1/4" spacer. I tried it. There is enough room inside the fender to fit a 1 inch wider wheel without changing the offset.
Track record? Nokian invented the snow tire about 90 years ago. They know how to make a tire for all conditions. I had the Nokian Outpost AT on a Silverado, and I loved them, way better than a KO 2. I also run Nokian winter studless on my wife's SUV.
In the winter, I had a Chevy Impala that smelled like what you guys described and it turned out to be the catalytic converter. Once you drive it, and the converter "lights off" the smell goes away. The cat has to get up to temp. As far as my Ranger goes, I have not smelled this.
While visiting the Ford Performance booth at SEMA this year, the Bronco shock and spring kits are made by Bilstein, not Fox. I inquired and they said the Ranger kits will also be Bilstein. Some manufactures may be waiting for FMVSS approvals.
You guys must live in a very flat world. I'm lucky to pull 19 mpg with a mix of in town and highway use. Tried both eco mode and normal, gentle throttle and nothing crazy. This last week was my only tank of 20.3 mpg in 5100 miles. Altitude is 3000ft, and economy did not change between my...
My truck is a 2.3L. I choose that due it it being a daily driver and the 2.3 has a better history and I believe is more proven than the 2.7L. The 2.7 also has a wet belt in the oil pan driving the oil pump, and I don't care for that setup. As far as power goes, the 2.3L is no slouch. I towed...
Not sure why anyone would want a larger filter in a modern engine. Unless to increase overall capacity. It's just not necessary. If a filter is on the verge of "clogging" during its life, you have way bigger issues inside your engine.
I talked to a Ford engineer at the Ford Performance SEMA booth yesterday and he said they finished the 100,000 mile test and it should be coming out any day now. We'll see.
