  1. Borla Exhaust now available

I purchased a GM Performance muffler through Borla about 8 years ago for my Silverado. It had a great sound, with no drone. Granted, that was a cammed V8, but maybe with twin pipes the little 2.3L, may not sound that bad.
  2. POLL =When will my Diode Dynamics SSC1 Yellow Fog Lights be delivered?

Ordered my lights on 11/22/24 and received them 1/17/25. I have not installed them yet due to cold weather.
  3. Borla Exhaust now available

Borla cat back systems are now available to 2.3L. 2024 Ford Ranger Exhaust: Borla® Cat-Back System
  4. Aux/fog light mounting options for non-RR Lariat

This location is not a very good location for lights since it provides airflow to the intercooler. Have you seen the Diode Dynamics factory location fog lights, or Triple R lights that mount in the grill?
  5. Bad sound quality on BT/Handfree : where are the microphones ?

I was curious if anyone is still experiencing the crappy phone quality. I have had numerous complaints from people that I am talking to and they say there is a great deal of background noise. I have also been on the receiving end of that noise when I have called my wife when she is using the...
  6. PSA - Oil Catch Cans and Winter Conditions

The attached picture was what my catch can looked like after 5000 miles in Montana cold weather a couple weeks ago for its oil change.
  7. Spare tire

Check your tire placard inside your drivers door. If it says 17" spare, Ford should give you the correct tire and wheel under warranty.
  8. Spare tire

Not the case on Lariat 4x4. Road wheels 18", spare 17". But they are the same overall diameter.
  9. Looking for info on ford ranger 2.3 ecoboost cam phaser problems if any

On cold start the 2.3L holds the waste gate open just a bit so the turbo doesn't spin up at high idle. After a minute or so, it closes. It can be a little noisy during this process.
  10. Ford performance rims

    Thanks for the link.
  11. Ford performance rims

I will try to take a look. They are in the shed for the winter, but not hard to get to.
  12. Ford performance rims

All the stock wheels either 18 or 17" are 7.5"wide with 55mm offset. The Ford Performance wheels are 8.5" wide with the same offset, so all the increase in width is inboard.
  13. Ford performance rims

The 265/70/17s are really tight but I have not had any rubbing at all. No clearance for chains, that's for sure.
  14. Ford performance rims

I did not have to use spacers.
  15. Ford performance rims

Everything was stock. The performance wheels are an inch wider and the tires get really close to the knuckle. I have never had them rub.
  16. Ford performance rims

Yep, I was using them in the summer with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 265/70/17". I use the stock Lariat wheels in with my winter tires.
  17. Air/Oil Separators

Well, the catch can caught something. The photo is what was in the can after about 5400 miles at the oil second oil change. We have had a couple weeks of freezing temps, so it does not surprise me to see the moisture in there.
  18. Spare tire

Tire shops might not go smaller. Load rating has to be the same or higher as well.
  19. Spare tire

The 16" wheel did fit over the calipers. I checked just to be sure. They are used as spares on the XL models. The Lariats should have 17 inch spares.
  20. 265/70/17 tires on 2024 Lariat?

I run a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss in 265/70/17 on a wheel that is an inch wider, with the same stock offset and it fits. It's really tight, but it fits with no rub. With stock width wheels, you would have plenty of room.
