Another thing the e-shifter will do… If you (somehow) forget to put the vehicle in park and press the push button start/stop, the truck will shift itself into park. My Edge with the dial shifter would do this too.
You know, it is somewhere in the middle. The e-shifter is for vehicles with active park assist 2.0. In this version, the vehicle controls accelerator, brake, steering, and gear selector. This is on the Lariat and Raptor.
Active park assist does the steering and guides the drive to accelerate...
Hello, fellow Albertan here!
I traded a 2021 Ranger Lariat Tremor in November. New truck was an in-stock Lariat, 2.7L, FX4, Advanced Tow, Box Steps. Hot Pepper Red. Odd to see a dealer order with the paint option - $850 up charge. Dealer installed spray-in liner before I picked it up.
I get...
I’m underwhelmed by the suspension in my 2024 Lariat FX4 with 2.7L. I find it harsh. I’m planning to change out the rears this spring.
I traded in a 2021 Lariat Tremor. The Ranger Tremors had Fox Shocks. They were very nice. A little soft if you had some weight in the bed.
The FX4 pkg was...

I have only had my truck for a couple months. The park brake has auto-set 3 times. Each time was when the truck rolled and kind of came to a jerking stop after I put the truck in park - what I assume is the transmission settling on the parking pawl.
I liked my 2021 Lariat Tremor. If it was available for 2024, I likely would have gone with that again. There is a big difference between suspensions on the Tremor vs my new FX4. The Fox shocks sure smoothed things out and really soaked up the bumps at speed. Don’t forget the 5G Tremor also had a...
Had the issue again this evening. Not nearly as cold, only -6C. Hand inside the handle, nothing - no lights flashing, no sound like anything is trying. Tap the sensor to lock the doors, and the lights flash, doors re-lock.
Unlock with the button on the remote, and now the door is back to...
I have a Lariat FX4. I put on 17’s with General Grabber 265/70R17. These are take-oops from a Bronco. Same wheel backspacing and width as the 18” wheels that were originally on the truck. No interference, rubbing, or any other issues.
Ha, that’s nothing! In Feb, we usually get a week or more at -40C. Fun fact, -40C and -40F are the same ?
It’s fun to have to calculate your walking distance based on how fast exposed skin freezes in temps like that. But, at least it’s a dry cold ?
FWIW - I traded a 2021 Ranger Lariat Tremor for my 2024 Lariat FX4. I did get the 2.7. It’s not that I think the 2.3 is underpowered. We are planning to buy a travel trailer. Nothing crazy, 3,500-5,000lb. But towing in the mountains (at altitude) can be demanding.
I will say, the 2.7 is more...
