Interesting. I think I remember seeing the two power ports on all XLTs, but not the LEDs in the bed itself. That’s kinda weird they removed the running boards though, it’s a truck one would think that could come standard or request a delete.
The whole package with the power port and LEDs though...
I also did a factory order for my XLT. Push button start is not an option for XLT’s in either 2024s or 2025s. I don’t know about 2026 though.
I was just looking at the build site - when did they add this “Convenience Package”? You can get LEDs and another power port in the bed of the XLTs now.
Congrats on your new truck! Personally, my dealer was quite up front with my order and purchase. Turnaround time from order to delivery was quick in comparison. I ordered in mid-February and received my truck the week after Easter in April.
The service plan is up to you. I’m still on the fence...
From the looks of the message - the airbag recall is not available for service as apparently Ford doesn’t have parts for it yet. Were you able to get it scheduled?
I have owned my XLT 2.7L for almost 5 months now and I have the same experience as you OP.
The truck runs fine. I have always really liked the look of this generation of the Ranger, and upon inspection I think that Ford did a good job with it. My only complaint really is that the rear seats...
For a dealer to repair it, your VIN will have to have a recall tied to it, otherwise they won’t do it. I heard about the recall in the news a week or so before Ford notified me through the FordPass app that my Ranger was affected. So if it’s not there, you are probably fine. Ford also has a...
This has happened to me in my 25 XLT. Albeit not as noticeable as you mentioned since I have probably gotten used to it by now. It’s probably because of what another commenter said - due to it still being in high idle after startup. Once it’s been running awhile for me, it doesn’t do this really...
Personally, I live in a mostly level part of the country. I rarely use my parking brake. I can probably count on two hands how many times I have used it in any vehicle. I only use it when I’m parking on an incline/decline.
I will be getting mine changed this week for the first time and I am at almost 1800. Dealer recommended I get it changed at 2000. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to get your first oil change done under 2500, personally I wouldn’t wait past that though. With the Ecoboost I have always heard you...
Hi, I ordered mine with the block heater installed from the factory on my 25 XLT. It is clipped into the front bumper instead of hanging there, just the to the right of that sensor plate you see there on yours.
I have a soft tonneau cover from Truxedo/RealTruck on my Ranger. I like it so far! Have always liked the look of the soft covers since my truck bed really won’t be used as much, so I don’t need to worry about taking it off.
I do agree with others though, don’t overthink it - just buy what you...
I have only just recently crossed 1300 miles on 2025 XLT 2.7L but I have no complaints so far! Engine is very smooth, transmission seems to work fine. It does take a little getting used to as I was coming from driving sedans with 6-speed transmissions. But other than that, it’s great! I have...
No, it would be at the mid cycle refresh in a few years. My point was that Ford is phasing SYNC out, so I am not sure how much feedback they will value at this point.
I did just find this link for instructions: https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/sync-4/how-do-i-use-the-record-feedback-feature-with-sync/
However, considering that the Ranger is one of the next vehicles in line to scrap the usage of SYNC 4 for Ford’s new Digital Experience I would be...
Yeah, the price of a loaded XLT is close to the base of a lariat, until you add more options. All in all I found the comparable lariat to be 5000 to 6000 more than my XLT. Personally, I couldn’t justify that - to each their own though, as I plan on keeping my truck for hopefully a long time.
Now given I’m only 5 days into driving my 25 XLT, I am actually more ok than I thought I would be with the smaller instrument cluster display. It does the job well enough and has enough room to display the speedo and I can add the tachometer (rpm) on the left side. It does take a little getting...
