All these responses are wrong. This is one of the quick menus when you scroll through with the up/down button on the right side of the steering wheel. Seen this many times before. Should be able to click the back button to dismiss. Can also click up or down and you will see the trip menus and...
Yeah, so like others have mentioned - you really won’t find much of any Rangers with the convenience package, since as far as I can tell they didn’t add that package for 2025s until sometime in August.
As far as what I did for my 25 XLT - I did the 2.7L V6 301A package with the tech and advanced...
Congrats on your new Ranger, and welcome to the club! It’s a fun truck so I hope you enjoy it!
I live in Minnesota, so in my experience it took Ford about 3 weeks to get my truck to the dealership from Michigan. It might vary a little, but I think that’s probably a good estimate.
FYI - just cause you ordered the vehicle doesn’t mean you need to purchase it. Unless the dealer made you put money down (which would be unusual) you have no obligation to the vehicle. Ordering another really depends more on the dealer than Ford.
All I wanted to mention here is: the convenience package is not new to the 2026 model year. Ford snuck it into the 2025s but not until sometime in August. At least for XLTs anyway. I have been debating getting the LEDs installed in the bed of my truck, but also don’t really want to pay the large...
I agree, I think is a “feature” of sorts. I have done it as well, but I think it’s to prevent folks from taking your truck if you leave the windows open or something like that.
This is awful, and I hope Ford makes it right with you along with what others have said. My one question I have for you is - how did you manage to pay around $60,000 for a XLT? Just curious more than anything.
I don’t use Alexa cause I really don’t care too much for Amazon as a whole, but also because I am a heavy CarPlay user.
I have not had a single issue with it in the 6 months I have owned my truck, and it’s really the only thing I use while driving. I can even trigger Siri with the voice button...
Some vibration when shifting the transmission from Reverse to Drive and vice-versa is normal, especially if the transmission is still cold. It’s something every vehicle I have ever driven does. Now, if there is a loud shutter in the truck, that is a different issue.
The transmission isn’t...
If I am reading Ford’s recall letter right - the update fixes an issue where there would be soft and squishy pedal (paraphrasing, but it seems that is what they are alluding to) accompanied by warnings and alerts on the instrument cluster. I would also add, that from folks I have talked to, very...
It involves adding shielding to the side airbags (both sides) so I don’t know how they could pull that off without taking the headliner down.
Honestly though, I would rather them take more time to do it if it means it will get done right and without additional noise and rattles afterwards.
As long as it doesn’t get delayed, that sounds about right.
For reference, when I got mine in late April, my build week was the last week in March into first week of April. It arrived at the dealership on the last Thursday of the month. So about 3 weeks. It went from Michigan to Minnesota.
Yep, I have had this happen before. I picked up my truck in late April of this year, and it’s only happened 2-3 times. But still really weird! Fortunately I just hit the talk back button on my wheel (light press so as to not prompt Siri instead) and say “End Navigation” or something like that. I...
I don’t think I have ever heard a dealer giving any break on any feature or service just cause you are irritated at the amount of recalls on the vehicle. (For a lack of better terms) Why are you shooting the messenger? Your dealer didn’t manufacture the truck with faulty airbag design, and...
So, the recall was an issue where if the side airbag had to deploy, it would get ripped open. The shielding they are adding is used in the deployment of the airbag, to protect it from getting ripped. I don’t think it’s an actual metal shield, if that makes any sense, as they are trying to...
When I had mine repaired a few weeks ago, the tech told me unless you had warnings on the dash then you most likely never experienced the recalled issue.
I tried searching and didn’t find any recent (within the last couple weeks) posts about the airbag recall. I know it was talked about quite throughly when it was announced. But I just went in to my FordPass app today and noticed the recall now says “Schedule your free recall service with a...
