Conventional knowledge with any vehicle says this:
Your vehicle will really like speeds between 55-65. That’s the “sweet spot” and where you will get the best fuel economy. Obviously stopping and starting hurts this (city driving). I have even seen 67-68 mph get decent enough gas mileage. It’s...
I have checked with my dealer for a couple of unrelated installations to your heated steering wheel question - and I have discovered that they will add roughly 3k to the price it would have been at the factory. Now, a heated steering wheel is only available at Lariat and Raptor trim levels, so...
My father has a 3.5 V6 Ecoboost in his F150, and I have never ever thought my turbos (2025 2.7L V6) were anything near as loud as his. For peace of mind - bring it into the dealer.
When I ordered my 2025 XLT back in February 2025, this would happen about once a month. My theory is that they do batch processing every once in a while or even maintenance on the system and it causes that. Whatever the latest status you received in your email or text message chain is accurate...
Ok I want to say first - I don’t have a RR, but I do have the tech package on my XLT so I have the 360 camera package. Do you have a camera button on the top of the center screen? That is how I turn on my cameras unless they turn on automatically with the sensors detecting me getting close to...
Have been doing Synthetic blend every 3k miles. I certainly wouldn’t dream of doing it any later than 5k. Going any longer is just asking for something to go wrong down the road, in my opinion anyway.
Update: Went back to the dealership and they fixed it best they could. Since most of this stuff is made of plastic, it’s hard to get it exactly right. But it looks good enough to be and as long as there is no rattle I don’t care. So overall it went fine.
So, if the truck volume knobs aren’t lowering it - I did find that if you want to change it from your phone there are three options: Soft, Normal, and Loud. At least with iOS 26.
In Settings you would go to: Maps > Spoken Directions > Voice Volume.
Yeah, so with my previous vehicles I didn’t do much other than wash them routinely since they were cars. But now with my truck I have been debating what to do. Everyone I seem to talk to in my family and at the dealership - it seems no one around here is undercoating as much anymore. I will be...
To each their own! If it works well for you and you are ok with the cost go for it. It definitely won’t hurt.
I live in MN where the salt the living daylights out of the roads, so unless we get a blizzard the snow isn’t really packed. When I used to live in ND though that definitely happened a...
Ok, I will admit this will be my first winter with a truck at all, let alone my Ranger.
However I have driven a FWD car in previous winters without winter tires. Unless you are out in the country/rural areas, IMO you don’t need winter tires. To me it’s always been an unnecessary expense. Plus my...
Only thing other than what you have written down - is if you have a bedliner that is plastic, inspect the places where that had to cut it and make sure it looks how you want. For example: the cutout for the power ports. Make sure that there is one at all, and make sure that it’s not jagged...
I have only used Mobile Service once. They did my brake booster recall and I had a very similar experience as “purdyd” - they were early, and were done in 15 minutes. I had a couple questions the guy explained to me, and he was very courteous. If the dealer I trust was around me I would consider...
Oh! This reminds me of a question I have never gotten a chance to ask: have you ever been able to get the tire pressure gauge to stay available while driving? Mine turns off once my speed is greater than 5 MPH.
It didn’t disappear because it’s not the notification that the auto start/stop was turned on or off. It’s the status message in the set of menus. Next time you are in your truck, you could probably find this again. Just press your OK button and scroll up or down until you see it, I don’t...
This is the first I am hearing of this, my 25 XLT has the same temp on the instruction cluster as what is on the center stack display.
I would ask your dealer about this.
FYI when the tech came out to update mine back in early September (also in MN) he said that even if I had updated it myself, they would still have to verify its installation to clear the vehicle of the recall.
