I can think of many times that would have been helpful. I just got things done with bottle jacks and a Hi-Lift.
I didn't know someone was making off road floor jacks. 🤣
As soon as I get this truck behaving properly I'll be making a few orders. Can't do it yet, as I might have to swap it out for another. Since I've got the modular liner, I'd have to have one sprayed in, and I don't want to do that until I know I've got a truck I can keep.
I'm highly...
What luck! That's how many I have. 🤣
I wouldn't have thought there would be enough room for all six.
A custom solution makes sense to handle the mass. It sure is nice to be be able to look at the render to see how they fit. Much appreciated!
I'd like to mount as many proper, 20L, pre-ban, steel jerry cans as will fit, side by side, as close to the cab as possible. They get heavy when full, and I wouldn't want to mount them behind the rear axle.
Close to the center of the vehicle's mass is the best place for them.
I haven't...
The quotes I got for my Ranger Raptor were hovering in average 70-80k import territory when I just ran a bunch of cars through the insurance company before purchase.
I figure it's a stupidity tax I have to pay because of other peoples' shenanigans.
I've had as many people rev at me in the Ranger Raptor as I did in my Golf GTI.
It's tiresome.
The same goes for everyone with a competing pickup truck trying to park right next to me when I'm at the end of the parking lot. It's like failing to observe urinal regulation, in my opinion.
Same...
Do you mean to suggest that the steering wheel was not crooked, and then after a few miles became crooked, or am I reading that wrong? That wouldn't be good, at all.
I wish I had pictures of it, but the last time I pulled apart an engine it had been running Amsoil since the break-in change, swapped every 2,500-3,000 miles.
It was absolutely spotless. Not a trace of sludge or nastiness accumulation to be found. The thing looked brand new.
I'd been running...
I don't know about this one, but it's certainly a good idea to give some engines an Italian tune-up.
There's no way I could bring myself to do it during break-in, though. 🤣
Add to that they'll warp again even sooner. Resurfacing isn't a magic fix.
It shouldn't be done on perfectly good rotors, either. That solution makes absolutely no sense.
I was a massive fan of Northstar batteries.
The team developed the Odyssey battery, and eventually stepped out from Enersys to do their own thing. You could beat the snot out of them. They soaked up a charge like the best flooded cells, and held their own through hell.
Then, Enersys bought...
At the very least, every non-Corvette GM interior I've ever seen feels like it's got 250,000 miles on it after only 50,000. They start off pretty, but they don't hold up at all.
Ford isn't too much better, but they're better nonetheless.
I recall looking at a 2004 Discovery for the first time and wondering what the canisters attached to the intake hose were for. Someone had gone through a lot of trouble to design and package them.
Turns out they were Helmholtz resonators.
That's one of the most brutally aggressive tread patterns I've seen this side of a Simex Extreme Trekker. With those and three lockers I don't think you have to worry about being stuck any time soon. 🤣
That Bronco's angles make it look like an oversized Micro Machine. You're pretty much...
