@Goosetuned Are we going to talk about why you charge $750 for the HP tuners device w/ 4 credits when HP Tuners themselves sells the same thing for a retail price of $600?!
That’s because none of the aftermarket guys have been able to crack the OEM encryption.
So they need to sell you an older model and less secure ECU that they can manipulate.
Also, I think many here are confusing an oil-fed air filter for an oiled filter element.
Two completely different animals!
I don’t know any production road car that’s been made in the last 25+ years that uses an oil-fed air filter…
Had this on my 22 2.3L Ranger.
It sounds horrible in person.
When you have the FP Tune and CAI it drones horribly!
I couldn’t rip it off fast enough!
The only part of the warranty the dealer can void is if a problem is created that can directly be traced back to the tune.
Since I don’t know of any warranty situations arising from any FP tunes on any vehicles ever, I’d say you’re pretty safe…
It isn’t an instant red X on your vehicles entire...
Congrats!
Your FP tune is now registered to some tech in your dealers service dept.
You are now 100% dependent on him for any future tune updates! (For the 5G Ranger I believe there was 8 or 9)
I hope paying for 2 hours of labor was worth that!
