I agree. This is a really slick idea. I thought to do the same. There aren't many choices right now for plug in trucks. But they are coming.

Free solar? I paid for the system up front so I'm still paying to charge the battery even though It's not coming out of my pocket directly. Even so, I'd buy an electric truck - we just need more chargers everywhere, besides the home so long trips are worry free.

I just got a good look at the new Tacoma. Not impressed at all. The SR5 is dragging it's chin on the ground. The wheel wells are now square not round and large enough to swallow anything not 35s... so street tires look silly. It's all too much, and may not age well. It's obviously...

And look at us all - purchasing a hugely expensive truck - sight unseen - well undriven. Now that's faith in engineering!

Interesting perspective. I suspect the individual production line jobs are pretty repetitive and structured around a specific build on the vehicle. You don't need to be an expert to get the job done. But it is reckless to assume that seasoned workers experience isn't valuable. Small...

I'm going to jump back into this thread after looking at the 23 ranger and the 3-in rake between the front and back quarters. I think for the first time perhaps the ranger does need a front lift of one or two inches. The 3-in rate is a little bit, too much. I think a level will also improve ride...

I support labor. Hopefully they will get a good deal. Let's keep America production in America with an American workforce. This is probably the last new vehicle I'm going to buy but at least it's made by Americans.$$$$.

I really don't like my soft folding cover on my current truck. I am opting for a future hard roll up. The problem with the hard folding i that the last fold is not movable so you lose about 15 inches of bed aft of the cab. Or I have to remove it entirely. I won't go that route again.

Higher interest rates, less demand. Vehicle Supply increases in some lines. It's just business as they say. Every decision is deliberate to maximize profit. If they don't do that we may not have a viable Ford company in future. Plus I suspect the looming UAW talks put some unknowns into...

Of course this is true. There's no denying any of that.. There is still the opportunity for a automaker to choose when to start production. No one said anything shady was going on. I believe market conditions have as much to do with the start date as supply disruptions.
