I have never had a problem with the connection dropping. Their app says running on your phone until you disconnect the plugin device from your truck.

Got the update yesterday

Got the update from the dealer a couple of weeks ago when I was getting an oil change.

I tow a Forest River 192 RPod which is similar to your Trailer weight wise. When loaded it doesn't add much weight maybe 100lbs. We don't carry much and leave maybe 7 gallons in the reserve tank in case we use the restroom. I have just kept my tires at 38lbs which is recommended from the door...
