Gravity forces the engines lube oil to the oil pan. My 3.0L engine has to run without pressure briefly. Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc have all had issues related to lubrication. And so there is a HUGE repair market. These “issues”are engineered to support that market.
A “dry start” after an oil...
You’re the one that called “BS” and you have your own opinion. Fine to each his own. I was asking for an opinion with some added technical value. You just added really nothing. 😉 That is what shows.
I have read about this and tried it and what I wrote was accurate. If anyone is uninformed or chooses to be willfully ignorant then it will show.
Clear flood mode is a diagnostic feature in modern fuel-injected engines that prevents fuel injectors from spraying, allowing the engine to crank...
It works really well yes, but where I live the wind can gust at times and take your hood all the way back to the windshield. I try to always use a bungee cord to keep that
Well after hearing my 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor Cold Start with the hood up. I was alarmed. So I started looking into the failures associated with Ford motors and found quite a bit of information. Cam Phasers and Lifter Failures due to low or no oil pressure on startup.
I am curious where the Oil Pressure Sending Unit is, does anyone know? There is a guy on here that pulled some Oil Pressure Data after installing the Baxter Filter Relocation Adapter.
Does anyone do the flooded start method to build oil pressure prior to starting. Basically hit the on/start button without touching the brake pedal. This will bring up the gauges and let you see the oil pressure. Next put your foot on the brake pedal and hold the gas pedal all the way down. This...
As far as I know ALL Motor Fuels meet minimum API Standards. Now depending on the brand additive packages are definitely unique but alike also. And if you live in a Big City Area the blends are referred to as “boutique”. And also there are changes to the mixture for Seasonal Changes. Most people...
Gravity hold the louvers closed with no air flow. They can be taken off without removing the housing also. The effect if any may not be noticeable at all. I have the FP Tune and have not driven it yet to see if I can tell a change happened.
Ok I have read thru the entire Thread and have not found out what I am about to ask. Has anyone just taken off the Louvers on the backside of the stock IC? It really is simple. Pull the outlet pipe of the IC and there is one 10mm screw/bolt to take out and take it off. That’s it. Of course you...
You will need to move the suction hose up and down some when the pump starts to lose out and cavitate. It really saves you from having a deluge of hot oil when you pull the drain plug.
I like to pump most of the old oil out thru the dip stick and drain the rest thru the drain valve. There is more control and less mess under the truck imho.
So I have been reading and looking around for a cold start oil pressure solution. And the Baxter oil filter adapter is supposed to help eliminate/lessen the time it takes to get oil up into the engine after the engine has been setting for a while. Also I tried holding down the gas pedal while...
This adapter is supposed to help eliminate the rattle associated with low/no oil pressure when the engine initially starts up. Do other people here consider the same issue as a long term reliability concern?
