I had similar issues, wound up extending the antenna wire on my opener with a piece of #14 THHN coper wire, seems to pick up the signal from my much better from further down the street now.
Finally got around to having mine installed today, very happy with the outcome. The ride quality is even better than I anticipated, very smooth.

Haven't seen it on my Ranger, but I've had it happen on my F150 anytime I had to disconnect / reconnect the battery. Seems it took a while to relearn the miles till empty range.

@TurboRanger I wound up returning them, another member received his and posted pics showing they won't work. Wound up getting some Tremor take offs, slightly different offset (+42 vs +55) and half an inch wider, no rubbing with 265/70/17 stock ride height.
Yesterday interior cleaning and today exterior cleaning after 9 days of camping in the Sierra's. The ceramic coating really paid off, only took one good hand wash to get all the dusty dirt and bugs off of it.
