Got mine today, and since I didn't really feel like working anyway, went ahead and installed them. Not really a bad job, but the whole time I had that whole "WTF? Why do I gotta do this on a brand new truck?" thought going through my head. Well it's done! YAY!
Hi folks! Got a request for the mind hive here! Need a picture of the FRONT flange of the REAR driveshaft on a 6g Ranger (non-Raptor) equipped with PART TIME 4x4, NOT 4A. Trying to help out on the 6g Bronco forum with a custom driveshaft build/install. TIA!
I just think that for the nominal cost, compared to what I paid for this vehicle, it is a no-brainer. I do agree with some who say this should be a "freecall" but to me it's cheap insurance, and I just don't want the dealership hassle/runaround/bs. I don't have any current plans to add a...
I didn't have a choice when I bought mine. It's SG and had every option you can put on a RR, including the decals. Personally I don't hate the graphics on SG, and I'm gonna leave them for now, but likely wouldn't have ordered it that way. They do look better against a lighter background color...
I have a JB4 piggybacked on FP tune on my 2.3 Bronco. Definitely makes power! I also have water/meth injection and colder plugs. Haven't gotten that far on my RR yet...gonna try an intercooler 1st
Pretty much everybody put that in the youtube comments...retry after 500 miles or so! Still .5 sec ET is pretty impressive! In drag racing, it's not often you can shave .5 sec for $800!
That has nothing to do with the tune, that's a seperate warning to check that the vehicle is registered in CA if repairing something under CA emissions warranty that would not be covered in other states. So you get no tune, but lucky you! You get extra emissions warranty! YAY!
It's just the region you are in...here just about every dealer is willing to sell at MSRP, that is if they have one to sell! When I bought mine there was only a couple left in my state, and only a few left on order, which were already spoken for
I can answer your second question. IF there is an update to the PCM (engine computer), and the dealership flashes that update it will overwrite the tune. Other modules ie body control, doors, instrument panel, ABS, 4x4 etc should not affect the tune. You can re-install the tune over the new...
Nice! Yes I am in the US! There are also aftermarket options from Austrailia, and some "universal fit" options in the US, but I really had not thought about the 3rd brake light being a stumbling block in the US, but should be an easy workaround. I'm just looking for an easy place to mount...
I would like more info on how we can get a sport hoop in the US. We could likely use the same one, just have to relocate the 3rd brake light to the rear of it. Does it have a Ford part #? Not sure how the parts catalog here jives w/overseas parts, but I know some folks who can cypher Ford...
Not an expert on "turbo tuning", but I'll try and answer these:
1)issues? Shouldn't be any issues. A BOV isn't a power adder, it's just turbo bling really. On manual Trans vehicles it can help reduce "rev hang" and make shifts a little quicker (so I am told), but on the ATs no real change to...
It's really not too important, cause the phasers are serviced as an assembly, but what is going on is they leak down when the engine is off. There must be some type of check valve/ball to hold oil in the unit when the motor is not running. I would assume this is what they are referring to...
Ok, so on topic post:
I paid $625.50 for the tune/procal from Lethal Performance
I own an independent ASE shop, and I installed it there (if for no other reason, because I had it shipped there so my Ole gal would not know I bought it)
I billed myself 1 hour, and generated a receipt with my...
