FALSE, this was for a diamondback cover not purchased through Ford, but weighs more than Ford’s advertised weight of 88lbs above the bad rails.

Ford called me back. (SHOCKER) They stated as long as I can produce a receipt for the Tonneau cover and the weight exceeds 88 pounds they will cover the cost of parts and labor to install the load box reinforcement kit.

It would be nice since Ford recognized the issue and fixed it from 9/12/24 on. If it wasn’t a “issue” they wouldn’t have changed anything. Those with build dates “should” have this fixed on Ford’s dime. It’s not the cost IMO it’s the principle. ??‍♂️

I contacted Ford who took the complaint and they suggested contacting the national Highway safety administration which I did. A complaint was filed on both ends. Not sure how many owners took the initiative to do this. Hopefully it’s enough that forces FORD to push the issue for those who...

I didn’t. There simply just isn’t enough room. There is a company doing R&D on a rear seat delete. Might be something to look at in the future.

They didn’t post 93 octane numbers. Curious if they are any different Ford published hp and tq is at the engine Goose Tuned published HP and TQ is at the wheels. That’s a big difference. Subtract roughly 30% off Ford’s tune to get an at the wheel HP/TQ number.
