Funny how people never had ADM in any of their Toyota calculations. Even the 3rd from the bottom of sales Nissan Frontier is tacking on $1360.00-$2000.00 from what I am seeing. There's zero justification for this based on the product sales and popularity.
Hey neighbor, I see you're in ABQ? Got any opinions on Reliable Nissan? I'm doing my due diligence looking at the Frontier long bed options and not impressed with Nissan dealer nearest me in Durango.
We know the Ranger base MSRP. I was cautiously optimistic about this 6G with 5G never being a truck I'd buy. Now I don't see any value proposition in the base XL and even if they eventually offer the SCab + 6' configuration I require it doesn't get anymore appealing to wait indefinitely for. ?♂️
That was expected and planned for after announcing 6G was coming. Totally normal and expected. On the + side they didn't lose a ton of $ discounting built stale inventory on lots before the changeover. Business as usual here.
I have no reason to doubt you on that. All good there :) I'll let you entertain the possibility my buying history, preferences, and life situation are different from yours? I bought my 1st car used in 1973. 1st new was 1987 Ranger (1 of 4 over time). Bought a mix of both since then. All new came...
same with our 2018 F-150 SCab Sport 6' bed 4x4 with Coyote. Super reliable so far with everything we need and nothing we didn't want, off the lot new. We can actually average 22 mpg on 100 mi. round trips over varied terrain/hills here in CO, and up to 27 MPG on similar flat terrain trips. This...
naw, been there, done that with my Maverick. Time isn't on my side. I have a firm understanding of Ford's recent product rollout history and processes. Also experienced the endless delays with missed and extended deadlines and lacking timely communication and updates in between. Night and day...
I thought the only engine available for order now is the 2.3? Who knows if or when Ford will actually add any more options... Later availability doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
I listed BASE MSRP for 2023 Ranger XL which is starting point on B&P tool. We only have a single announced MSRP for the 2024. Mine is direct comparison of the 2. You can play with the numbers all you want and YMMV.
yeah, but apples and oranges. Like comparing the 2000 Ranger SCab I had with 5G or even 6G. New generation Frontier created precisely to address shortcomings of the stale platform you had that was not updated for nearly 20 years. Nissan was smart they way they rolled this out. 1st introducing...
I went and sat in a 2023 Nissan Frontier SV Crew w/5' bed today to size up. Not the model or options packages I would choose if I bought 1, but damn the standard features list blows away the Ranger and the standard V6 w 310 hp and naturally aspirated has almost same MPG as Ranger 2.3.... and...
Notice I didn't say demand, you did. Agreed Ford will limit the numbers available to keep a waiting list unfulfilled. I said potential market. There's only so many people that can afford that price point. It's far less desirable than lesser versions of XL, XLT, and Lariat that drive the bulk of...
Some people here are vastly overestimating the potential market of Raptor buyers IMO. The average Ranger or any midsized truck buyer wants it for versatility and everyday uses NOT related to going over landing or racing Baja, with obvious exceptions of camping trips and recreational activities...
Yep, in frequent contact (including this AM) with trusted local sales guy ready to visit for above. I predicted it won't be until Memorial Day weekend which would leave me only 2 days to act before we leave on a long road trip early June 1. Murphy's Law revenge.
no, it's a Halo or Trophy model to be sold to an exclusive crowd in limited quantities at extremely high prices. Fully optioned XLT Lariat would be more of a traditional Flagship model. You speak as if you have no actual personal industry experience in automotive, tech, telecom, etc. where...
and yet the orders are supposed to start May 26th- if that even holds. Based on recent launches this is standard operating procedure for Ford, unfortunately ☹ May ultimately be what drives me into the arms of Nissan for upgrading my Maverick to a mid-size Frontier that meets my limited needs for...
Hardly. It's not a Flagship model by any realistic stretch of the imagination. It's a niche model for wealthier purists and for bragging rights and publicity for the brand in same way a Shelby GT500 is. There's no way they can build 10-15k per month and even if they could it would be the worst...
