I know, I like that area. When I visit NM I like to go to Springerville then up to 40 through El Malpais Monument. Have you ever been East of Las Vegas, NM? I go to Trementina which is about 50 miles east of LV, below the mesas on the Canadian River. There are hundreds of miles of dirt roads and...
The factory wires at the connector are only #14 I believe. So depending on your expected load and where you are tapping power will determine wire size. I use mine for a cooler that draws a max of 60 watts (5 amps), it was only a few feet from the factory plug to my socket and I went with #12 to...
No. I acidentally messed up one of the ones they give you so I just replaced them both.
BTW, the clips are very hard to push on but if you warm them up with a heat gun they go on easy.
That was my understanding yet last spring I was in a no cell area in a remote part of NM, had no cell coverage but my Gaia still worked with no hesitation or dropouts. I don't know why but I didn't question it.
Anyone tried one of those inflatable boots, or an innertube etc between the cab and the topper window? I'm going on a fishing trip and with the 5 foot bed I'll have to leave the rear windows open and poke the rods through into the cab. Will have some dusty dirt roads and possibly some rain...
I'll be curious to know what Ford says. I know on the high output Sprinter 4 cyl when oil temp redline is reached it automatically de-rates till the EOT comes back down. I don't know what that temp is though. Do you know if the Ford de-rates at redline? Strange that it didn't cool down when you...
BYW on my 2.7 the EOT idiot gauge is in line with the bottom of the little oil can icon around town but on the highway it rises to the top of the little icon. If I switch on the HVAC it drops a little and on my SG3 the coolant temp drops about 10 degrees when the HVAC is on. There is no ECM info...
OK what are the actual oil temps you are seeing? And not owning a 2.3 has nothing to do with oil temp knowledge. My diesel 2.0 TDI ran up to 250F EOT on grades and my OM642 Sprinter runs as high as 270F on steep grades. What is your actual number? How accurate do you think the factory idiot...
Why do you think it needs to be addressed? It is normal for oil temps to rise at high RPM, especially on a turbocharged engine. Modern oils are designed to handle it and there is nothing to worry about as long as you keep up on oil changes.
BTW if you switch on your climate control in hot...
Keep in mind there's 2 more USB outlets on the rear of the console facing the back seat. With the 2 in the cubby and 2 on the rear of the console and a plug in adapter for the console storage outlet that gives me 6.
Or were you already referring to the one on the rear of the console?
I have the Offroam which is a great mount, but I did not like my phone sticking up on top of the dash and there is no need to be able to look at it since I use Android Auto although it is still very visible from the driver's seat. I wanted a fast, easy way to plop my phone on a magnetic charger...
When new my hood needed a pretty hard drop. After installing the Redlines I made the simple snubber adjustments (there are 4) and all was well till I installed my Airplex bonnet guard, after that I had to slip 2 washers under the latch. Works perfect now and no visible alignment discrepancies.
