I used the factory power source which is detailed in this thread: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/added-12v-usb-port-to-bed-power-panel-2025-lariat.20717/
I don't need it powered with the key off, if you do, take power from the battery but don't use the Scanstrut socket as the red LED...
Installed my 12 volt socket in the bed today. I chose a Marine grade socket made by Scanstrut, it has a weather tight cover which doubles as a plug retainer when in use. The socket itself is excellent quality. I got a surprise when I opened the cover, there is a red light inside so you 1. know...
I just saw a truck with an A.R.E. topper that had an LED flashing brake light, the brake light looed exactly like the one on my A.R.E. so I'll bet he just used a module. Will be interesting to see what you come up with for a module.
I recall reading somewhere that in AZ and maybe other states they are legal as long as they don't flash more than 3 times.
edit: well I just looked it up and they are not legal here at all except on emergency vehicles. I do think they should be legal on motorcycles though.
The one thing I had to do after installation was adjust the hood stops a bit, this is very easy to do and the process is in a thread here which I will look up and link if you need it.
No drilling, no noise. I did throw away the little squares of adhesive PPF they give you for the end attachment to protect your paint from the plastic clip and made my own slightly bigger using regular PPF.
I installed the Digital Twin tailgate seal. It looks like it should keep out the water and dust. One thing to note, if you have the Bedrug Classic full liner, you can no longer allow the fold between the bed and tailgate to drop downwards into the gap when closing the tailgate as the Digital...
I look at it this way, if you're going to have something there you may as well pick one with full coverage of the front of the fenders also which is why I went with Airplex. The difference in appearance is not noticeable but the difference in protection is. Actually I like the look, it looks...
It doesn't engage in park either. There is a distinctive sound when it engages and that sound only happens when I manually engage it. I was able to manually engage it in neutral as well. Tomorrow I will put it in park and attempt to push it, without the brake engaged in park it should rock back...
Update Mine is not working. I just went out there and tried it in neutral, I shut the key off with the transmission in neutral. Then I got out and tried to push the truck, it rolled easily. Then I turned the key on, the brake light came on then went off. So all the RA device is doing is...
I just installed the RA auto parking brake module on my 2025 XLT and what I noticed is the sound of the brake engaging and disengaging is very faint, I can barely hear it but when I engage and disengage using the console lever it is very obvious. Anyone else notice this?
