Thermal cycling is the most important aspect of a "break in". Once the engine has cycled from cold to operating temp and back 4-5 times, it's about as good as it'll get. When we built drag cars we'd assemble, test run, thermal cycle 3-4 times and run them. High load at mid RPM is still...
I don't need to watch a video. I've got 40+ years buying and building all manner of gas powered go-fast stuff. Aircraft, motorcycles, cars, trucks, sleds, etc. We have people today changing their oil at 1000 miles, running high octane fuel in low compression engines and much worse. The...
Not required. A few people have had the sensor become damaged or unplug while off-road. Probably isn't an issue for 95% of people, but everyone wants to bolt something on the truck so these are a cheap way to do that.
They work well. Brake feel is subjective so the only way for you to know is drive a truck that has a few thousand miles on it where you're sure the brakes were bedded properly.
PPF can and will discolor, stain and become brittle over time. Bug hits can cause stains that cannot be removed. If there are specific areas on the RR where chips are common, I'd PPF those, but nothing else.
I was looking at a F150 with the little diesel engine a few years ago. Truck was a year old, in Ohio, had low miles, looked great in the pics, carfax said minor fender bender, seller was a dealer who said it had minor damage to the tailgate. I tracked down the original dealership that sold it...
No one mentioned that they couldn't afford $100 (other than you). Saving $100 on things like this are why some of us can pay cash for a new truck when we want one. Pick up those pennies and pretty soon you have dollars.
Enjoy your truck.
People who have fixed it themselves have machined/sanded down the plastic tail light a bit so it doesn't happen again. Less than an hour if you're not too handy.
