    Offered the same solution to someone here and was ridiculed for a battery bouncing around in the bed! I have a deep cycle battery secured in the bed near the DC outlet. Works great.

    Easy to reset as stated. It's based on milage or time. At least once a year or at the recommended milage.

  7. From a 79 "ranger custom" to a 6th gen and a few in between

    '83 Ranger, '87 Ranger, '90 F-250, '24 Ranger. Still have the F-250 with a Lance camper and the '24.

    Had an '83 and a '87 and my '24 seens huge! But not as big as my F250. My '83 Ranger had two fuel tanks which made long trips real sweet!

    Thanks. The first is east of Lone Pine, where I live. The second is just off 168 at Buttermilk rd. I'm active in the Eastern Sierra 4X4 club. I utilize Ham radio and GMRS for back country comms. Look forward to seeing more 24's around here!

    Several hundred pounds in the bed plus the shell. Rides great.

    It's about lateral movement. I've stood on the bed sides and have a shell without braces.

    I keep a deep cycle battery charged and run what I want off of it. I also charge batteries for a chain saw, tire inflator and radio equipment.

    Had my shell/topper installed in May and have been on many dirt roads without a problem. I don't do extreme four wheeling.

  15. Can I still install a tonneau cover without installing the J bracket?

    I've been doing some dirt road trips while waiting for the dealer to supply the brackets. Don't play Baja racer and you'll be fine!

    All stock. Did as well as the other vehicles. 4 low ranges helped and did not need rear locker. The tight turn radius kept me right there with the Wranglers.

    Did a great trip on Saturday July 13th out of Bishop Ca. to the Coyote Flats area. 8,000 ft elevation gain and 35 miles round trip. Twelve vehicles and only my Ranger.
