The ranger bed is not fine. It’s hot garbage. It has voids that cannot be sealed without serious effort, if at all. It is beyond the duty of a tonneau cover to seal a void below the bed rail.
Added digital twin tailgate seal kit. Worked great. The only water intrusion from rear of bed resulted from opening tonneau and tailgate after extensive pressure washing. The front voids near the tonneau canister still need to be addressed.
1 hour extensive pressure wash resulted in this amount of water. All of the water seems to be coming in through the front bed voids. I just installed the digital twin tailgate seal kit.
That’s a lot of work. I appreciate it. I’m interested in a loop followed by a z pipe, a longer muffler and some good resonators. I’ve heard positive things about these: https://zzperformance.com/collections/3800-exhaust/products/zzp-2-5-ultra-quiet-short-stainless-resonator
Yeah the finished product i have didn't match my vision either, but it is equal length and it does sound good after breaking in. I'm still looking to get something more professional with smoother bends fabbed up. A z pipe could be interesting.
The goal is to add 24-25” of total pipe to the exhaust to make it equal length. The trombone loop is the most space efficient way to achieve the goal.
