It's good, but not perfect. this is my 3rd PE ultragroove. I've run them on a chevy colorado and F-150 in the past with great results. I like that I can clear snow and ice off the cover due to the design. The customer service is outstanding with Pace Edwards being in-state to me. Feel free to...
My pace edwards ultragroove is good. A tonneau cover on these trucks is only as good as the bed and tailgate, which are horrendous designs from a weatherproofing perspective.
Tonneau is installed. Dust mitigation was successful, but water mitigation not so much. The large voids at the front of the bed and the large panel gaps at the tailgate are presenting issues. The tailgate voids allow ingress when the truck is stationary and the bulkhead voids allow ingress when...
Thanks for the idea. I did something similar. Now I need to get grommets in all of the bed holes, buy a tailgate seal kit and find a way to seal up the bulkhead voids.
it’s not the ridges, it’s the lack of a flat surface that is presenting issues for me. The oem design drops down about 1/2 to 3/4 inch from rear to front.
Thanks man. I think the tailgate spoiler offering would solve the problem, but I’m not in the habit of taping non-functional stuff to my vehicles. I am curious if the 19-23 ranger tailgate cap would fit. It’s very similar to the f-150 design and looks to have the same mounting points. I am...
Does a flat panel tailgate cap exist? Has anyone come up with a solution to seal tonneaus and caps to the stepped tailgate cap with spring loaded clamp inserts? The oem design looks cool on paper but has proven to be less than useful in the real world.
