Has anyone seen a solution to adjust the tailgate's drop amount? Similar to the adjustable tailgate on the Maverick?
I have a hitch mounted bike carrier I use on occasion, but the tailgate will hit it if it opens all the way. I'd like a way to limit the drop on the tailgate so it doesn't...
They don't have you use any straps with standard bike sizes. I've carried bikes a few thousand miles already with this rack with no issues, including some light offroading. Even if some bigger mountain bike tires went flat, it would be pretty hard for the bike to come out.
They do sell a strap...
I use the Kuat Ibex / Piston solution and it puts the top of my bike's about 9ft high. Looks to be about the same height.
I used to carry bikes on top of my SUV, which was even taller and have just gotten used to paying attention to clearance everywhere.
I've definitely seen some horrendous fuel economy driving across west texas. At one point, I had been averaging ~85mph with a strong headwind and after filling up the tank, my estimated range was something like 270 miles.
Here's the 3D file I made for the bed shim, although I never actually tested this fitment. Drilling the holes in the shims, I put them in place and marked the holes from below. Drilled oversized holes through the shims to make fitment easier. Drilling the holes through the rack was alot of...
I'd really like to see them take the Mach-E Rally and give it an RS trim, via the Raptor treatment. A wide body, long travel suspension, and some serious dampers. Make it a real rally car, not just a street car with a damper tune.
Car and Driver has this truck at 0.69g on the skid pad and you're losing ~30% of your grip in the wet. That's not far from ice skating.
If you're randomly losing the truck on public roads, you're driving it way too hard for anyone's good. The KO3 seems to be mid to bottom performance in the wet...
Hard to tell how much material is left, but I'd keep sending those pads as long as there's material left.
I'd hope that for ~$1000 for front/read brakes includes new rotors too. If so, I'd skip the new rotors unless they're damaged.
I have a Bak X4s with no other sealing. I get a little water in the bed around the corners. Its never been enough to get stuff wet as long as I don't have stuff shoved in the corners that can't get wet.
I don't really worry about stuff getting wet, but just in case I mostly use hardshell...
All of the Factory applications seem like they’re running even slower after the update. It takes a solid 5 seconds for the towing page to open.
Luckily CarPlay seems to be fine.
My truck started making tapping/clicking noises from the HVAC blend doors in the dash in the last few weeks. Not sure if it’s normal and I’m just now hearing it because the truck is running heat for the first time since I got it, or if the blend doors are already starting to get sticky or having...
My wife's Bronco Sport uses a clutch based AWD system to power the rear wheels. On the dash they have a display that shows you what power split the system is commanding. I wish they did that in the Ranger, so I could get a better understanding of when the system is engaging and how much.
