  4. 2024 Ranger Lariat 2.7 battery question

I’m thinking #1 is the nut that holds down the entire assembly, #2 is fused with a 3 amp, I suspect that’s the BMS fuse? 3 and 4 are empty accessories. Any suggestions, I’m thinking #1 if there’s continuity to that battery post SURROUNDED by plastic šŸ˜ž

  6. 2024 Ranger Lariat 2.7 battery question

Thank you sir, I appreciate the help….and great information. I have a Wolfbox jump pack and the clamps are too big to fit directly on the post like yours do. And I need to edit that photo, those numbers are unreadable, sorry about that.
  7. 2024 Ranger Lariat 2.7 battery question

I’m needing some help from a kind soul who’s smarter than me and that ain’t hard! On the positive battery post , there’s no room to attach a clamp from a jumper cable or a jump pack. If I were to need to jump off this battery, where do I need to clamp the cable?? I’m concerned that some of these...
  8. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

That’s been my experience as well, six quarts in, six quarts out. The dipstick always reads that way. I believe it is the effect of the check valve ( auto start/stop)
  9. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

Likely not overfilled, I have measured mine ….6 quarts out, 6 quarts in…still appears overfilled. It all depends on when you check it. I believe it is the check valve for auto start/stop. 2.7l
  10. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

My dealer told me anywhere on the dipstick is fine….well that was no help. I told him I’m aware of the check valve and I’m trying to confirm correct dipstick after the Bronco issue. He had no idea what I was talking about. I have had a 2.7 before (2016 F150) and although that check valve can...
  11. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

Thank you for the replies. Have you tried checking it after sitting overnight? Mine always reads the highest on a completely cold engine. It appears the 15 minute interval described in the manual is the only thing that makes sense. I know mine appears much more overfilled any time after that...
  12. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

Anyone else have this issue, or can chime in? Thanks for any assistance and thanks for the great forum.
  13. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

Thanks for looking at it, it’s an odd and frustrating thing . My Ranger has 4200 on it . Been this way since I took it off the lot. I am very suspect of the dipstick. I appreciate your reply
  14. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

I may have to, I can’t confirm the stick with the triangle even exists, or that is any different. I did see a fellow on the F150 forum that did exactly what you described and cut a notch on the stick. I ordered a stick from Ford , but it’s the same one I have with the H stamp. That’s why I made...
  15. 2.7 oil dipstick with “H” stamp

That’s 6 quarts out, 6 quarts in. Sitting overnight in the photo. I have also checked after normal operating temperature achieved, waited 15 minutes, checked and makes no difference. I have checked 15 minutes (per Manual) , 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, overnight. Doesn’t matter, always...
