  1. Center display vehicle functions

The engine was running but not sure if it was in park. I will double check tomorrow.
  2. Center display vehicle functions

I haven't looked at the vehicle settings on the center display for a couple of months. I went to check them today to see if any of the last 2 OTA updates changed anything. Not sure what happened but all the settings are grayed out. Can't change any settings. Has anyone else experienced this? I...
  3. Clunk at Low Speeds - Transmission?

2024 FX4, 20k miles. Only issue I have similar is backing into my one care garage. Backing too fast will lock the brakes as the sensors pick up obstacles (shelves) close to the sides. No warning. When the brakes lock it's a grinding noise. Never had it happen going forward.
  4. Software Update TCU-25.2.8.5 -- 04/11/26

I don't know if this is from the update but now when I receive a text and do read aloud I am now getting a guys voice. It use to be female. Screen is different too. Could be possible the person used a voice text?
  5. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

Why don't you go back and read the topic. Has nothing to do with 2025 MPC. OP has a 2024 XLT.
  6. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

Looks like the filter is in the same location as the 2024 based on the photos. The 2024 procedure is to also remove the skirt which is not necessary imo. I might be wrong for the 2025 but sure look the same to me.
  7. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

2024 FX4 2.3L I do the filter removal and install from the top. Never an issue. Removing the wheel and skirt looks like a pain and more time consumed than needed. Also installed a Fumoto drain valve on the oil pan.
  8. Help identifying this on Body Control Module fuse cover

Appears to be a Karr Security System installed by the dealer. You can have the dealer deactivate if you want. It's an add on.
  9. Software Update TCU-25.2.8.5 -- 04/11/26

Search found this. True ????? Read last paragraph - TCU updates Over-the-air (OTA) updates, including those designated for central computers (similar to ECG2-25.2.8.5), have a risk of overwriting Ford Performance ProCal4 calibrations on Ford vehicles. While Ford may state updates are unlikely...
  10. Software Update TCU-25.2.8.5 -- 04/11/26

Latest update just received today. Haven't noticed any changes.
  11. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

I do all my own or my son might do one for me. I had dealer do initial oil change and got it home to oil drips in the driveway. They didn't bother to wipe out the oil filter drain trough very well. Also looks like they probably used a oil extractor down the dipstick tube method. Oil drain plug...
  12. Matte black Airplex Hood protector installed on Desert Sand 2025 Ranger.

How are they for keeping bugs and debris from hitting the windshield? My windshield take a beating on cross country trips.
  13. Just ordered a Ford Bed mat

I used points for one. Pretty heavy duty. I really like it. I have the Ford spray in liner but it's a pretty aggressive coating so the mat made it much better when crawling around inside the Softopper. I have to throw a towel on the tailgate to keep my knees from getting torn up.
  14. 5 months of ownership

    14 months and almost 20k. 2024 XLT FX4 2.3l
  15. Easy-Peasy Oil Change 2024 2.3l

From the top every time. I use the standard Ford filter. If on ramps a simple step stool will do.
  16. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

He would definitely prefer a aluminum or metal pan over the plastic pan.
  17. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

My son had mentioned his 2.7l Bronco has the plastic pan so can't use the Fumoto.
  18. Latest Software Update last night

I live in a rural area. I'll have to see if it's offered where I live.
