  1. Latest Software Update last night

Same as I received. Wish they would tell you what the updates were.
  2. Latest Software Update last night

I did not know they offer that service. Is there cost involved?
  3. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

The locking clip is to lock the valve and is a pretty tight fit. Even without the locking clip in place you have to lift the spring loaded lever out of a detent in order to rotate to open. It's well protected under the skid plate. No skid plate, I would be concerned it might break off if impacted.
  4. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

I'll have to look. Not sure I can access the valve on a 2024 without removing the plate.
  5. Fumoto oil drain valve installed

My son installed a new Fumoto oil drain valve for me. Going to make oil changes much easier and less messy. Points down and slightly forward. Keeps the oil away from the cross member and allows for a 3/8" hose. Might drain a bit slower but that's Ok. Plenty of clearance to the skid plate. 2024...
  6. Latest Software Update last night

They included the latest recall in the system update. How do we know when the trailer safety update is complete?
  7. Latest Software Update last night

Received auto update last night. Appears to be a "behind the scenes" update so no clue what's involved. Getting ready for a 2400 mile trip so hoping it doesn't raise any havoc.
  8. Oil Filters

I understand the keeping of receipts which sometimes I'm negligent of doing. So far I am only using Ford filters and oil while under warranty. Not sure if that makes a difference when it comes to warranty issues. Can't oil change intervals be tracked in the oil monitor system if they really...
  9. Multiple safety alerts on the dashboard and the app

Amazing they have to replace the whole rack just for a replacement module. I guess that's the standard these days. Love the old school trucks you could fix yourself with rubber bands and paperclips.
  10. Found On Road Dead?

Yea, they can all go by that saying.
  11. Multiple safety alerts on the dashboard and the app

You diagnostics is a real bummer! Is Ford supplying a loner car?
  12. Multiple safety alerts on the dashboard and the app

I'm hearing more about the batteries being junk on these Fords. My son has a 2024 Bronco and has replaced his with aftermarket after doing some research. He didn't want to get stranded off road due to a known junk battery.
  13. New Softopper Installed

I purchased a zipper boot cover for mine from softopper when they were on sale. Works great. Just wish they had color options. They are black boot covers. You shouldn't have any issues with the bike. Push comes to shove just unclip the topper and tie it in next to the bike.
  14. New Softopper Installed

It's easy enough to move. If you go farther forward the top might not lay flat on the front of the bed when collapsed.
  15. New Softopper Installed

Sorry, I don't have a tape measure. Been traveling for the last 4 days. From front of bottom bed rail bar to back of cab is about 3 fingers (approx. 3". Top bow to light is probably 2".
  16. New Softopper Installed

I'll have to measure it. My son has had one since 2017 and helped install it. We moved it as far forward that would allow the folded cover to lay flat on the front of the bed.
  17. New Softopper Installed

The Velcro on the flap would be below the black tailgate liner so I would have to put the strip on paint. Not sure why yours is higher up. I can't move the frame further forward or the top would hit the back of the cab and will not collapse fully.
  18. New Softopper Installed

I have the same color softopper installed on my 2024 Cactus Gray XLT. Installed early 2025 and will soon have 16K miles on it. 5 each 2400 mile trips. Plus a few others. Has been flawless so far. I do not use the velcro on the gate flap. So far no issue. I don't like sticking stuff to the...
  19. A thought on stopping stake pocket leaks

Good idea. Also keep in mind that leakage also coms from under the bed rail caps that are not sealed to the bed rails.
  20. Anyone else buy the Spare Tire Lock?

Unless you have wheel locks I would think it would be easier for them to target the regular wheels than wrestle with a cheap spare.
