Yep, I get it all the time on local curve roads on hills where I have to slow down going up hill. Seems turbo lag is the culprit as well as trans down shift.
My 2024 XLT FX4 has the lights that turn on for cornering.
I found that out when my son watched as I backed up at night. He thought a bulb was out until I turned the opposite direction.
Maybe just showing my age.
I don't remember this in the 50's, 60's cars that were built like tanks. No AC so the windows were always down. (Weather permitting).
Make sure your compliant is written up exactly on the service writers work order each time. If you end up going for the Lemon Law this is important.
If not written the same, Fords attorneys will try and say different complaints.
Service writers know this trick and will try and word it...
I have the Husky mats.
They fit well for the price.
Only issue I have is the drivers mat doesn't stay locked on the mat locks.
I have to periodically reposition mat slightly and lock it back down.
If they were more flexible I don't think that would be an issue.
Just for grins I took my hands of the wheel in lane centering mode. Drifted back in the lane and got pretty squirrely. Truck yelled at me to put my hands back on the wheel.
Also had the truck tell me to take a break after extended driving.
2024 XLT 2.3 FX4
In approx. 7500 miles I have never gotten past 22.4.
Not a lead foot, live in hill country, and some highway miles.
I do have a Softopper so that might affect it some.
4000 mile round trip mostly highway TN to CA averaged around 20-21. Had wind and dust storms.
Gas milage...
Vietnam era Submarine Vet. and Special Boat Unit (SBU-13).
Now have a 2024 Cactus Gray XLT FX4.
Purchases late February 2025 and now approx. 7500 miles. Did a TN to CA round trip with the wife and we have nothing but positive comments.
I put in some 8-10 hour days and never felt like it was...
2024 XLT FX4.
I put mine up on ramps both sides. I needed to remove skid plate so needed more room.
Lesson learned- when on ramps put a rag on the crossmember just aft of the drain plug. Because of the incline the oil will want to hit the wire loom and cross member. The cross member has a hole...
Anyone know what these orange bushings are used for?
Rear of the transmission.
The one on our right which is actually left side does not appear to ever have another half bushing similar to the left one.
Mine does not work on back country roads where road markings (center and side lines) are either not existent or very well warn. My icon on 2024 XLT will be grayed out when not active and turned on.
