I have not seen them in the USA, yet. I posted about this from the UK here: (34) Ranger Raptor red tow hooks (painted) | Page 3 | Ranger6G - 2024+ Ranger & Raptor Forum, News, Owners, Community (6th Gen)
Here is where I saw them: GENUINE FORD RAPTOR 2023-2024 TOW HOOK COVERS –...
I like the painted version, too.
I see some oversees markets (UK) also have covers one can get to completely hide the front tow hooks. Kinda defeats the purpose of the hooks, but apparently, they can be removed if needed.
Finally ordered the blue tow hook covers, since they are back in stock.
Who knows if I will like them, and I realize I may need to cut a little bit off the ends to fit on the Ranger Raptor. These are meant for the F-150.
Somewhat off-topic. I see the '25 Maverick is getting a dual-clutch rear-end. And a hybrid 4X4 option.
I wonder how much the price will increase for the Ranger Raptor? The Tremor price went up over $7K, with the new Lobo higher than that.
My father has a loaded '21 F-150 XLT. It really rides nice and has payload capacity to haul oak firewood, which heats (Wilkening Mfg built-in fireplace) his big log lakehome, even to below -20 deg F. during the winter.
Yes, 0-60 MPH times are likely a bit better than the RR, but not by a lot.
I have the X4sT with the accessory tracks and so far am happy with it. I had to loosen everything and adjust fitment/alignment for a small gap at the driver's side seal at the tailgate, but now don't have any significant noticeable leaks., other than a little where water can get past the little...
Seeing more Rangers on dealer lots and many with discounts to MSRP, but with your order you get what you want on the truck.
I see Ford has decided to finally do some leases on Rangers, but only in a couple select markets (per Ford authority website).
Slightly off-topic:
I got to drive a friend's new 2024 F-150 V6 Powerboost twin-turbo hybrid Platinum (430HP, 570 lb-ft torque) last night. Pro Access tailgate is nice. The ride is great because of the longer wheelbase. I really liked it but am still sold on my Ranger Raptor. My friend was...
Is this the same as the airdesign spoiler?
One can get a 10% off coupon and price is $200.
One would have to prep (clean with alcohol, and paint prep), but I've heard they stay on well. Since it is painted, it would be interesting to see if a custom shop could paint it to somewhat match the...
RR - 18.9 avg mpg per the display, since delivery. Currently around 4,800 miles.
Commuting in the metro area during the week and more highway miles on many weekends driving to N MN lake home. Not often real hard on the pedal, but not babying it, either.
Isn't that a smaller saddle box that would normally be over the bed?
I believe there are some Tonneau cover solutions, (like BAK undercover tool box) that have under-bed storage. I just don't think they have fitment yet for Rangers, but could be wrong.
There are some ideas for underbed...
my two-cents-worth, knowing little about engine mechanics.
,,,,and idle time counts toward oil change interval miles. Some suggest change oil every 200 hours, or possibly less if usually run for short trips. Full synthetic has increased some of those intervals. According to Ford 1 hour idle...
Saw another blue one and a green one locally, and the red one the custom shop just got for a SEMA project. But that's it since April.
My brother recently bought a RR, so we have done the improved logging roads on family land in N MN. I even got stuck once. He got a drive mode fault a couple...
I clear 2 each time. 1 on mine seems to keep total elapsed engine-on time (from first time it was run at the factory), total average mph, and total mpg. I tried to reset 1 multiple times, but it never seemed to reset.
Maybe I am doing something wrong. I don't mind seeing the total engine...
Hard to say. I've seen them congratulate people here on getting their new Maverick, when they actually got Rangers. It would make sense that someone might lurk so they can gather info on complaints and/or compliments. Their X social media responds in similar ways.
I installed mine Sunday and so far am happy with it. The X4tS already had the corner pieces on the rear of the rails installed and it looks pretty secure with no gap issues. I adjusted it once after initial install because I had some minor dripping on driver's side at the tailgate. Because of...
You certainly could do that. I just plan to do it at shorter intervals than the 10K miles for oil changes recommended for those use full synthetic. I also plan for tire rotations at approximately every 5K miles or so. Keeping a little mini-spreadsheet-type notebook, scanning the service...
