I contacted the Ford Performance guy I got good info early on regarding the Ford tune for the 2.3 which I have on my '19. There not talking about the Raptor tune but surely there will be one. Sent an inquiry to 5Star just to see if they would push my Ford tune a bit. Will be a while before any...
I looked back at my receipts for the Ford TuneI I ordered as soon as available and it was almost a year after I got my truck so Ford's may not come out soon. What I am curious about is my ProCal tool which is the same for any Ford tune....will I be able to buy the tune separately and reuse the...
I was pleasantly surprised, don't like decals or stripes of other graphic personally. I was going to get the 4x4 taken off my current Ranger but since I selling or trading I didn't.
No reason to think this isn't true - just a computer glitch, as soon as my dealer got the word to do the stock order he input mine again as stock with same color, etc., and I was the only one they ordered for. I was most worried that they would get there one for stock in some color I did not...
I went in last week and their "system" let them order like a normal customer order. He just called and said Ford told him they had to order it to/as stock. He kept the original order in the system and duplicated what I wanted which was pretty much standard with only exception being deleted...
Don't even want decals, let alone something sticking on the door. But whatever you like you should get. Wish they came with Dave Kindig door handles :)
For sure - the 2024 non-Raptor front end just puts me off a bit and with my tune and Borla I already have the HP of the stock 2.7 on mine, but certainly there will be a tune and probably is one for other applications of the motor.
Yup all that is the price one has to pay for the engine - you can keep the rest, I'd take a supercab Lariat if I could get the 3.0 in spite of the ugly front end.
Not giving up, actually order one yesterday - we'll see :) got to pick my options including leaving off the bed side decals, I have a "valuable" piece of paper to prove it. As with most my dealer had an allocation of one.
So the Explorer and a couple Lincoln models have this motor which one could assume is the same as in the Raptor. I can’t find any posts about swapping this motor into our Rangers but am at least somewhat sure it is the same motor, and it has presumably the same transmission. Now that my dreams...
My experience echos most of this, dealer (small town) only getting one, and other offering what GM called a "crazy" bid - not sure how crazy but will find out tomorrow. Would pay cash, money not a real concern, but on principal it would be hard to go over $5K above MSRP. Not sure if they know...
What we need is to be able to buy the Ford tune separate from the ProCal which same across Ford models- I already have the tool when I did my '19 and I don't need another tool, just the tune files.
Matter of taste and but a hard no for me. Plan to get (assuming the stars align and I get one) the bed side decals removed and keep the tailgate badge.
Hate the front end of the non-Raptor, already have around 315 HP with tune and exhaust so 2.7 doesn't do it. Guess could wait for Ranger-specific tune for the 2.7 but it took forever to come out for 5G.....the FP tune for the 2.7 in a Bronco adds about 50 HP but I still hate the non-Raptor...
