I've been trying to change the human friendly language body control module. won't let me change anything in there, but I can change things in other modules and it will write them just fine.
Link is good now! Unfortunately I can't get anything to work, I relearned the PCM and AWD modules and still nothing, tried both recommended OBD II adapters, tried launching FORScan as Administrator. Gets to 18% after I write the tire circumference change and then gives me 'Service Procedure...
Nice! They will probably look great, I really like the stock wheels on the XLT. I just wanted the reduced offset/extra poke that the +35 Method's have and didn't want to run spacers on the stock wheels anymore.
No rubbing at all so far, haven't done anything too extreme but driving over curbs and drainages around the neighborhood with steering at full lock has not produced any rubbing. Probably down to 1/2" of clearance at the worst and only at the front of the front of the front tires. Even with my...
Hey Antman, I have been trying to do the same thing but I keep running into "Service interrupted" error after trying to write the tire size change. What OBD II scanner are you using? what Forscan version did you use? the link you posted takes me to a forum post about changing gas tank size...
Here’s the current state of my Ranger XLT with FX4 package:
Method 703 17x8.5 +35 offset Bronco Ford Performance Wheels (ordered through dealership)(black lug nuts)
BFGoodrich KO3 285/70r17 tires
Rallyflapz extended arch mudflaps (ordered these from the UK and had to cut them down a bit as...
I opted for the FX4 package mostly to get the offroad modes/screen and the skid plates. You get a front skid plate and an engine/transfer case skid plate. However, I have already changed my suspension out for better Bilstein stuff and plan on getting some aftermarket skid plates that provide a...
Yeah I’m with you on that build they used for their promotional stuff! Projectors would be nice but at least the reflectors we got on the XLT aren’t the worst ?♂️
@RIVAL 4x4, have you guys found a non-raptor ranger yet for testing? I’m really looking forward to the aluminum bumpers here in the states. I’m in southern Arizona, but happy to help if needed!
I wrote up a bit of the process here, and then added the part numbers in a later post on the same thread here. I haven't looked into whether any of the 5G ranger leaf kits or shackles would work on the back since I wasn't looking to lift the back at all.
I would imagine any Bronco front...
You've got an awesome looking truck!
I can confirm Bilstein 5100 front struts/coilovers for the 4 door bronco will work on this truck and give about 2.75" lift. 5G ranger Bilstein 5100 may be too short to give much of a lift since the suspension is a bit different now on the 6G.
Great tip on...
Yep just used the stock coil springs, spring perches, top hats, and bump stop/dust boot
I also used the Bilstein supplied spring perch collar (~ 1-1/4” tall) under the coil spring perch. The Bilstein instructions said to use it if you didn’t have Sasquatch package coil springs from the bronco...
I spent last night experimenting with some suspension! I took some measurements (front strut extended length is about 22.5-23 in) and pretty much visually guessed that the 6G Ranger suspension was updated to be very similar if not the same as the current (base) Bronco suspension.
So I took a...
Would you mind posting some pics?
I just put an order in for the 703s in bronze myself. I’m planning on running the 285/70/R17 K03s when they come in. My truck is an XLT in cactus gray!
Same thing in the XLT, not sure if it’s just the position of the seat or what. The passenger seat was at the highest position it can be in when I picked my truck up and I haven’t messed with it yet to see if moving it down would fix it….
I’ve noticed this once or twice over the last 3 weeks with the truck, same trim and package. Very infrequent though for me, can’t say I have a guess as to what might cause it.
