The suspension...especially the rear suspension puts the RR in a different league than the ZR2. The Multimatic shocks are a great shock, but it'll never make up for the Watts link that Ford uses.
The ZR2 doesn't get a power sliding window, power passenger seat, pro-trailer backup, trail turn...
After getting a few Ford factory & dealer options, I will never buy OEM again, on any item that is commonly available aftermarket. Chances are, you'll pay more getting OEM and the quality won't be as good.
The weird thing is, on every build I've ever done, I can never order the bed mat with any...
Voted 2.7l. I'd really like a Raptor, because I want that rear suspension, but I don't think I'll ever see it at MSRP and towing would be touch & go because I'd be right at max limit. Plus I really don't want a wider truck.
So I'll be looking at 2.7l, Lariat, FX4 and then I'll throw in an...
As it sits right now, the Taco or Frontier are your only options for a 6' bed. I suspect Ford will still come out with one. It's just a question of how long can you wait with all that money burning a hole in your pocket. ;)
I was really surprised by that. The Hybrid is only...
I guess I'm the black sheep of the group. I'd only want it with 33's. I think the 35's look too big on that size of truck.
Doesn't really matter though. As much as I want a RR, I'll never get one, because I don't ever expect them to drop to MSRP. :explode:
I don't think it's possible to overestimate the potential RR market, simply because; regardless of the demand, Ford will always keep the number of RR's, less than demand. They've been doing that with the fullsize since inception, and for over a decade now. The demand for the RR will always be...
Damn. You just put a damper on my evening. I thought you guys had 4A in other trims. I reeeaaallllyyy want 4A, but having it in the Tremor won't cut it for me, because I only want a Lariat.
You did give me something to hang onto though. If it is available with the 2.7l, then I'll be happy.
Just curious as to what options GM has that the Ranger doesn't? The only thing I can think of is ventilated seats, 4A and the heads up display, but the "heads up" (as well as power passenger seat) is only available on the GMC, not the Chevy. The Ranger has Pro-trailer, power rear window and...
A bit confused (not unusual for me), why so many think the reveal was a flop? The truck's been out for over a year overseas, so not sure what everyone was expecting. The hybrid option in the first year was just wishful thinking. All sources pointed to it coming out later.
The new truck...
Well, I don't even like to pay MSRP.
I won't find a dealer in Canada that would sell at MSRP. The fullsize RR has been out since 2014 and everyone still adds ADM around here.
I wish Ford would take a page out of Jaquar's book. When the F-pace came out, they were in super hot...
So I went to the Ford site and they clearly show a pic of the selector Without 4A, so it's looking as if it won't be available. That really surprises me, especially since it could easily be included and it's a legitimate safety feature. On my last truck, I used it all the time when the roads...
Excellent! Thanks for the info guys.
2.7l Lariat is looking good. Still hoping that 4A will be available.
Now I just have to get over the lame "H" on the front end and I'll be good.
My thoughts exactly. The only extra things I can see that the 4x gets is power passenger seats and heads up display. Those aren't available from Chevy.
2.7l available. Do I get to say, "I told you so" to all the nay-sayers. No....I won't do that. That would be petty.
Really surprised they included the Pro-trailer assist and auto-parking features. But super surprised the Lariat pictures didn't show a 4A. It didn't even cross...
I know I'm going to sound negative, but it's not really much of a reveal, when it's been available pretty much everywhere else in the world. We all know what it looks like, inside and out.
The only thing left to reveal is the options. I'm still holding out that the 2.7l will available
Well I really like it. It's not as "Star Wars" looking as the twins, but definitely more aggressive looking than the Ranger. I do think the Tacoma is still a bit too "much", but the Ranger is too meh. As it sits right now, the Taco is at the top of my list. That's something I thought I'd...
