Look at the Lariat Ranger. Based on you use case, it may be a better fit. Here are what I understand the downsides of the Raptor relative to the Lariat:
- RR needs Premium Gas
- RR gets slightly lower MPG
- Somewhat lower towing capacity
If you are OK with these, then the Raptor is a great...
I just went from a loaded 2015 F-150 Lariat that I loved, but I wanted an easier parkable truck and the new technology to a 2025 Ranger 2.7 Lariat. I was really really worried the size and quality of the Ranger would not match my F-150.

I set my Ranger back seat up for our dogs, keeping the back seat. I have a dog back seat extender which gives the dogs a big platform to stretch out on. Then I have a collapsible dog stairway so the dogs donāt have to jump up or down, I added additional window shading and circulation fans...
The other thing that is going on, my dealer told me to not be surprised with poor mileage with the first few tanks of gas. My first tank 13mpg, my second tank 17mpg, third tank 23mpg. The DTE has also been increasing. Mine is a ā25 Lariat FX4 with the 2.7 engine.
