Although I couldn’t be happier with my raptor, it was bittersweet not being able to take ownership of the iconic silver XLT. Especially now that they have discontinued that color. There will not be very many iconic silver Rangers with the 2.7.
Hoping for a speedy build and delivery of your new...
Someone on here posted that the Bronco 2.7L CAI fits, with some minor mods. Sounds like that would be your best bet until they become available for the Ranger.
So it turns out I won’t be doing the trip with a new Ranger XLT after all. I ended up buying a used Ranger Raptor instead. Although I am a little sad that I will not take delivery of my brand news Ranger XLT, it is consoling each time I get behind the wheel of the Ranger Raptor :)

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but has it been definitively determined what injection system the 3.0 TT Ecoboost engine in the 2024 Ford Ranger has? Direct Injection only? Or Port and Direct?
Asking for a friend :)
I would agree with some of the other members. The 2.7 is a game changer and definitely worth considering. I have the two door bronco with a 2.7 and it is the epitome of fun factor. Of course, the raptor is in a class all by itself with no comparison. But the 2.7 is definitely a great engine. If...
Hey everyone. As you can see by my signature/profile, I am the proud owner of a Ranger raptor. It’s used, but I couldn’t resist to get such an awesome vehicle for about the same price as a brand new XLT. That being said, my special order should be delivered this week. It’s going to Laura Ford in...
Very nice looking truck in my favorite color! And with the 2.7L, it looks great and probably feels even greater behind the wheel. Congratulations on your new truck. The chrome appearance package looks nice with the silver paint. Very cool!
I would agree about the leather seat quality in a Raptor. I was at a Nissan dealership recently and they had a rogue platinum edition that had seats that look like they were out of a high-end 100k vehicle. If Nissan can make them look that good on something like a rogue, why can’t Ford do it on...
I will be sure to try all of the octane gas options to see if there are any significant differences in MPGs. 1500 mile road trip should be about 5 fill-ups on the 18 gallon tank.
I just ordered the EGR bug shield. I also don't like the stick-ons, but watched the video install on these and looks like it should do the trick. Not sure if that thin sticky tape will protect the paint, so I may use something thicker--maybe a tire patch?
