Hey everyone. In case you're wondering, today (August 29, 2024) is the final day for 2024MY Ranger orders. Also, there is a teaser for the black appearance package in 2025! This is straight from the Long McArthur youtube video channel--which is pretty reliable!
Take a look/listen to their...
Ok, everyone. I finally drove the Ranger 2.7L (first one delivered in AZ) yesterday and here is my honest review.
First, I could definitely tell the difference at slow speeds as I navigated the dealership parking lot. It felt a little heavier and the pedal felt more connected to the motor...
Have you called the dealership to ask the status? Or maybe call Ford customer service directly. I'm hopeful yours is built and on a train or semi headed your way! Stay optimistic.
This is worrisome that you have been "in production" for a few weeks. On the other hand, I recall a few Ranger owners on this forum who suddenly got a call from their dealer that their Ranger was delivered, even though it still said "in production." So, fingers crossed that the site is not...
I'm right there with you. There's just something about driving a V6, especially one with twin turbos. My XLT FX4 2.7L is currently showing "in production." Can't wait!!
I found a Ranger with a 2.7L near Phoenix so I'm headed there tomorrow to test drive it. FYI, my 2.7 Ranger XLT/FX4 build date is holding strong for 8/26/24 and I have a Window Sticker now, so hopefully just a few more weeks for delivery.
I haven't heard much from anyone else who has had a...
My build date for a 2.7 XLT FX4 with tow and tech pkg was supposed to be this week. It’s been pushed out to the week of 8/26. It is my understanding that those of us with a VIN and build date will be MY2024, not 2025. And I’m fine waiting a few extra weeks or even months.
Once again, it was my opinion about the 2.7 because it is what I want based on my needs. Perhaps the 2.3 works for your situation, and it will absolutely do everything you want it to do. And yes, you can get a tune on it to squeeze more power out of it. For those of us who ordered the 2.7 as a...
Today, I drove another 2-door bronco with the 2.3. After a few hours and nearly 150 miles, I can honestly say that It has plenty of power and will do everything you need it to do, but it just does not have the thrust that the V6 2.7L twin-turbo has. I would encourage anyone still undecided to...
I think it also depends on the vehicle/manufacturer. There are many used Toyotas and Hondas still holding their value (if you can find one). We've been looking for our daughter and have not been able to find a good used Rav4 or CRV here in the Phoenix area for much less than a new one--which...
