  1. Mid size EV truck in 2027?

So if I understand correctly the lightning isn’t dead, dead. It’s being converted into an EREV. This allows Ford to preserve all the tooling and infrastructure it built for the Lightning so it won’t have to start from scratch when it revives a full-sized electric pickup. The EV transition...
  2. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

Nope, lol, meant to say instrument cluster. I’m trying to troubleshoot the original board and that’s a useful datapoint. it’s weird though, I can’t think of any reason why your parking brake would engage differently with the module vs manual activation.
  3. Mid size EV truck in 2027?

It’s allegedly going to be built on Ford’s “universal EV platform” which allows them to build a cars, SUV, “trucks” - I think it’s pretty unlikely it will be a BOF vehicle given the trends with other EVs.
  4. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

I’m still waiting for my replacement board from RA Ranger - the first one was defective. Will let you know if it’s the same for me Does the console show the brake is engaged?
  5. Installing bed side steps on Ranger XL / XLT - DIY instructions

Thank you for taking the time to put this walkthrough together! When I bought my truck I thought “it’s a five foot bed, I don’t need that” but it really does make a difference when you’re trying to get at things quickly. Or can’t lower the tailgate in a parking lot

  11. Factory Spray-In Bed Liner

Yeah, a supply issue with the liner added two months to order in early 2025. Truck was built in February, but didn’t ship in early-May
  12. F150leds

I’m installing some grill lights this week. I plan to use a micro2 tap with a 5amp fuse in fuse box slot 139 (turns on with ignition). didn’t want to tap the marker lights because this way I can remove/replace the lights easily (without leaving evidence they were ever there).
  13. Has anyone replaced their XLT driver's seat?

I came from a 12 escape too - it was a dream to work on. Engine bay was especially was well thought out - oil change, filters, battery swap, everything was easy. Pretty happy with the Ranger, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to contort my arm like I’m going through an exorcism to change...
  14. Has anyone added Lariat side Mirrors to an XLT?

I appreciate you - that post alone is a couple hours of research saved.
  15. Has anyone added Lariat side Mirrors to an XLT?

Did you have any luck with this? Don’t care about puddle light, but would love to retrofit a heater if it’s feasible
  16. Apple Car Play Quit Working

Apple when their liquid glass beta didn’t go as planned…
  17. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

Yankee 2025 Ranger XLT 2.3L TLDR: I suspect the RA Ranger Parking Brake Module is incompatible with keyed ignitions. Please correct me if I’m wrong (I hope I am). I installed the start-stop eliminator and auto-parking brake modules that I ordered from RA Ranger today. The start-stop module...
  18. Spare tire well aux fuel tank?

This is fantastic! Might solve the ground clearance issue with the LRA tank as well. Not sure if it’s true, but someone told me the reason a larger factory tank isn’t available for the Ranger is crash test safety ratings - more fuel, lower chance of surviving certain types of collisions. I...
  19. Sanity check - auto engage parking brake?

Yeah, at least one other person on the forum has installed both. Should have been more coherent and concise in the original post - main concern was if going through neutral to engage the parking brake was any better for the transmission. Sounds like there’s no difference. I’ve ordered both the...
  20. Sanity check - auto engage parking brake?

I’ve owned a lot of Ford vehicles and have little faith in their ability to make a decent transmission - I’ve gone through three. I’m hoping to make this Ranger last at least a decade and am most concerned with not stressing the transmission. I’ve read elsewhere on this form that when you put...
