thats the light sensor for the headlights and whatever else it controls for day/night about the only thing i see on mine is lights on the lock switches on the doors. but really, i've never thought to look for anything up til now.

its a feature of some sort. i don't recall, but there is a passive alarm system. i've been at the dealership and opened doors and had alarms go off. not a big deal if the fob is nearby, but embarrassing when the sales associates are running around looking for the fob on someone's desk.
