how does the remote start make heater warm up quick??

using remote start the cab heat is there quick!! If ya go out start with key leave sit a bit not much cab heat...seems to be a electric heater grid in air box somewhere??? Yes..No??? thinking ac comes on auto with remote start also

No. there's no engineered magic. It will slam everything into full hot though. I seem to remember somewhere in the menus there is a temp function on/off for remote start.

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the assumption it will use the last setting when you shut it down last.
I only tested remote start once. My truck is garaged.
I don't have the Ford pass controls on mine to fine tune it.

If you go thru the app and ‘slide to start‘ you can adjust the temp, seat heat, steering wheel heat and defrost. Awesome!

When you remote start with your key, it will default to the setting in the truck depending on the exterior temperature. In the winter, if you have heated seats (and steering wheel I presume) it will also turn the drivers side on.
Same thing used to go for the FordPass app until very recently when a feature has begun rolling out to folks that allows them to set the temp, defroster and drivers side seat heater manually when you “Slide to start”.
The only time it will start to the last climate settings before you turned the truck off is when you “schedule” a remote start in the FordPass app. Which is why I have never used that feature.

I had a VW TDI and if it weren't for the supplemental heater, idling would have taken a very long time to warm it up. The heater was needed because even when driving it would take longer than one would like.
