I would recommend the high temp silicone tubes. For the small difference in price and not having to cut it's not worth the risk. I thought about drilling drainage holes but didn't. After 9 months there are no signs of corrosion.

Plastidip.

Easily removed the Plastidip from the face of the sensor with a toothpick. It comes off cleanly at the edge of the sensor

Plastidip easily separates at a feature line or tight gap so masking only needs to be close and not exact. This is why it's simple to black out badges and emblems with Plastidip.

Put on a minimum of 4 coats and it will last years. I've painted out exhaust tips on my jeep that were still good after 4 years and 75K miles. Doesn't chip like normal coatings.

My passenger side dash rattle turned out to be from the upper glove box button. Fixed it with a little foam rubber wedge.

Went with 1.2 front and 1.4 rear as the back wheels looked a little more tucked in.
