Have experienced the same issue on 2 separate occasions on my 2025 lariat 2.3 at lower speed but no check engine light. Will look for water around the plug wells if it occurs again
Changed mine for first time a few weeks ago. Just went right for the wheel cover removal and was able to get to it. Agree with post above about the oil ramp mystery exit - keeps it interesting.
Way more involved than the good ol days when the filter and oil pan plug was easily accessed...
Glad I caught this thread! I just noticed yesterday the same guage movement as the original post and was a bit panicked about my new 2025 2.3l until I got to the end - lots of great info from the Ranger community. Thanks everyone!
So update on my tonneau cover - had a heavy rain storm this past week and opened the tailgate to find a good amount of water had come in - apologies for my previous post claiming bed cover perfection as this is NOT the case with the factory-installed ones.
I got the folding hard tonneau cover for my 2025 Ranger Lariat - ordered it with the rest of the truck so Ford did the install. I looked in the bed after a couple of rains and it was completely dry. I also had the same cover on my 2009 F-150. Installed that one myself and it kept things good...

So far the daytime clarity is good - plenty good enough to support crash investigations. Haven't been out with it at night yet but will post some images when I can. I watched all the videos in this forum on dashcam reviews before making my decision - the Rove R2 isn't the best on finer details...
Just finished installing the Rove R2-4K Dual in my Lariat. Didn't want to pay for the best out there but needed something decent enough to help out if there's an accident. Tried to avoid products made in China but looks like they're all made there regardless of who sells them so went with an...
Same here - I like the extras on the Lariat trim and don't do heavy off-road stuff so RR was over the top. The 2.3L cranks out plenty of power in sport mode
Ordered my 2025 Lariat on October 16 right as the window opened for the 2026 orders and there was some question as to whether the order would go through because of the timing. I stuck with my plan for the 2025 as the 2026s were $1100 more in the configuration I wanted due to some bundling of...
