I do have proof - I have a Ford dealership saying in writing that the hose was incorrectly connected at the plant.
I called the service department at the dealership I bought it from on the Monday morning after I bought it on Saturday - 1.5 days after I bought. The soonest they could get me in...
I’m more annoyed that Ford essentially gives zero Fs about making their customer happy. I’m not asking for a new truck, although I think quite a few reasonable people would have taken it straight back and handed them the keys and said give me a different truck….
The reality is that Ford has...
No I’m not. I’m asking for an extended warranty at dealer cost. They said they ain’t giving me a dime. It’s not the way I’d run a business, and not the way I actually run a business… but that’s their position.
The $5 dollar hose is a straw man argument…. Not impressive. There have been...
Are you willing to guarantee that with your money? Like actually put your name on the dotted line and pony up some greenbacks for any contamination related failures? Ford isn’t willing to do it… despite them not putting together the truck right, they want me to assume the risk. I asked them...
That sounds like a good setup. I’m not sure ARE, Snugtop, Leer…. are molding their toppers to fit without the plastic cap - I’d worry about the topper, which over hangs the plastic caps, would contact the painted exterior of the bed.
I see some online that have two holes in them - but they look like the holes are meant to use to mount the spacer to the metal rail, and then a clamp would be used on top of the spacer to hold the tipper down - the holes don’t look like they would be big enough to use the size hardware that...
I’ve heard of a lot of people having them shift while doing miles of washerboard road in Utah or Colorado. I’m not worried about “failure” - I don’t want it to shift at all and scratch the paint or tear up the gasket.
I recently got an ARE topper. I’m not thrilled with the clamps and like to bolt it down instead of clamping it. I drive a lot of washer board roads in the summer and I don’t want it shifting around.
The topper shop added spacers so the topper clamps don’t crush the plastic top cap.
I’m...
I mostly agree - but this a Ford Motor Co warranty - it’s a factory warranty. It’s different from some Allstate warranty that you could buy when you buy a TV.
