I've had KO2s on my trucks since the middle 2000s (one Ranger, a couple Explorers, and an F-150) and it was only when I moved to TX from New England in 2020 that I experienced the KO2s breaking traction often in wet conditions. Texas and New England generally use different mixes in their...
If they are infrared just cut a sheet of clear plexiglass and put it over the display. You can look through it, but it would block or diffuse any heat the camera might detect.
Thanks, Paul. I have the same kit as I had on my last truck, just looking to connect to an interior light without having to run wire all the way to the cargo light again.
Thanks.
Hey there, all. Curious if this project was done. I installed LED running board lights on my last truck tied in to the interior dome lighting to work as puddle lights (also had them as running lights and turn signals), and I'd like to do this to my new truck as well.
My sister has a new Model 3 with autodrive and she took me for a ride in it. I too was pretty anxious at the first busy intersection. I remember the first time I used the cruise control in my '95 Mustang. I was pretty nervous giving the car even that much control. Now I use CC on the...
Wow, that's a lot of tires for the truck. I too am curious about rubbing when you're turning -- probably why you mentioned trimming the front bumper. I'd guess the +25s help keep them clear of the suspension.
It wasn't mine, but the company I worked for issued me a black 2001 Ranger FX4 extended cab with the V6 and a manual transmission. It was the VP's husband's hunting truck until he bought something better. He had a chrome rollbar installed in the bed with hunting lights up top. I bought a '05...
Down in Austin it was mostly sleet/freezing rain so the roads were icy, but it gave me a perfect opportunity to go out and practice skid recovery. I'm from NH so I'm used to driving in the wintry stuff, but I wanted to try out the stock tires and see how well they would do in ice/snow and I...
I've never needed a full size truck. Had an '01 Ranger (manual transmission, so fun!) for a company vehicle, then had an '05 Sport Trac that served my purposes fine. In 2015 the were no midsize Fords available to buy, so I bought an F-150 and dealt with it always being a little too big for my...
