Running board lights??

I need to install running board lights like I did on my F150 but I need to know if anyone has figured out which wire to tap and where it's located. I don't care for the amber running light/white entry lights. I just want white lights that come on/off with the dome light.
The F150 is under the right rear door kick plate. It's a grey/purple trace wire. Easy-peasy to install.

Cut in half and it's a perfect fit. With proper cleaning before install they will last long time. After 5 years mine never came loose and worked like brand new.

Ford accessories website has a kit for bed lights that are triggered when the dome light comes on. The instructions are on the site. But it isn’t easy-peasy for sure.

I think I've seen that one and they tie into the third brake light?? But I'll go check it out again.
They've got to get power to the back of the truck somehow. Just need the trigger wires. – Thanks

Thanks for that but I found what I needed. F150LEDs came through as usual. The only difference is that I clean the truck with acrysol very, very good. Then apply adhesive bond to the area and let it dry. As long as the strips have 3M VHB tape, they'll never come off until you take them off!!!
The 2 wires I need are under the kick panel just like my F150 but different colors.

Just checked with F150leds customer service, they can’t say whether the 19-23 kit will work on a 6th generation. So if you would please photograph where you tap into the loom for the power and post it here.​

seems like when I was trying to do it and posted here, it was reported 5th & 6th generation were different.​

I only want the puddle lights and not the running/turn signal lights. I just need to find that white/grn stripe wire running to the back.

There is a white with green stripe wire in the bundle that runs through the passenger side under the trim between the seat and the door. I tried hooking my bed lights to it. There was power, but the lights were very dim. My friend who does auto electronics suggested it could be enough to trigger a relay. But I put a remote in my system and never pursued the relay idea. I did leave the red + wire in case I changed my mind.

Can you tap into the cargo light? I didn’t see any way to get wires up there. Do you have to lower the headliner? I realize they obviously got wires up there for the cargo and brake lights, but I couldn’t find it.
