The main concern I would have when engaging the transfer case is to remove as much of the load from the driveline as possible. Coasting or holding steady speed, maybe slight deceleration but not accelerating. Just until the gearbox is fully engaged, a couple of seconds.
Yes, a 30k mile interval will keep those gear drives happy. If you prefer a 50k interval, at least do the first one early to drain out the break in contaminates and particulates. Cheers and happy Thanksgiving to you.
Couldn't agree more. Replaceable led units would be so much better maintenance wise, and fiscally wise too. A tailight worth over a thousand dollars is ridiculous and very poor engineering. The side obstacle detection module in the taillight requires programming too. Headlights fall in this...
If you get a chance, find out what the harness is rubbing on. Would be nice to know so others could inspect and address the rubbing before it's an issue. Thanks.
I agree. It is a wonderful driving truck until you have to get on the brakes. Ok on a casual stop but any urgency at all and you have to stand on them. It's almost like the master cylinder input shaft needs a slight extension. Following for suggestions.
I live in Canada and my truck doesn't have a block heater. I may install one, we'll see, but my other truck had one and only needed it when parked outside in the really cold winter nights. Parked inside the need for a block heater is greatly diminished.
