Can you shift from 2H to 4H while driving in a 2024 ford ranger xl 4wd supercrew 2.3L

Hello everyone, looking for info on a 2024 ford ranger 2.3L XL 4wd supercrew ,I was wondering if you could shift from 2H to 4H on the fly, in other words can you select 4H while driving at moderate speeds of course in snow or muddy conditions and what is the max speed!! that you can shift

The main concern I would have when engaging the transfer case is to remove as much of the load from the driveline as possible. Coasting or holding steady speed, maybe slight deceleration but not accelerating. Just until the gearbox is fully engaged, a couple of seconds.

I do It frequently, I get prompted to take foot off accelerator to shift to 4H

Hello , ok you have the exact same pickup as me right ,2024 ford ranger xl 4wd 2.3l!!

I think I asked you twice about the make and model of your pickup sorry for that didn't mean to lol!

The electronic works the same for the xl, xlt, & lariat. Transmission and the transfer case are the same so the procedures are the same. Not sure about raptor with the 4A, but the trans on that is the same. If you feel you need to switch from 2H to 4H, the screen will either say that it's shifting to 4H or it will tell you to get off accelerator for shift to occur. The only thing I don't do is run 4H on dry pavement other than that, It's like the slow clap, you'll just know when the time is right to shift. I've shifted before around 70 on the expressway when I first picked the truck up and worked fine
