I've rarely upgraded my lights on any vehicle for warranty reasons, and also because i wasn't a dick who likes to blind people.
I currently have mismatched lights on the focus, the fogs were upgraded to sylvania whatevers, but the low and high beam haven't. So I have a nice bright white offset by a mellow yellow glow.
Being a dick is on my radar right now, since I am raging about tourist season and proverbial sunday drivers clogging the roads at all hours, I have places to go, I don't care about the tree buds and chirping birds, (my mom also died last week, so I'm even angrier) and I was wondering if the upgrade to LED is as much an improvement as they claim. Some are saying 900% brighter. but i'm skeptical. I want to burn people cataracts right out of their eyes without getting too road ragey, so if the LEDs are legit laser beams, I'm probably going to look into them.
Otherwise I'll just buy a whole set of the latest high end Halogens at Canadian Tire and give some people a pass on welders flash for now and revert to aggressive lane changes to get my point of dissatisfaction across to them about their lacksadasical (sp?) driving style.

Also any tips and tricks for polishing the lens and clear coating them to fix the sun beat look.

i have used those polishing kits you get at walmart on the lenses of a bunch of vehicles and they bring them right back to perfect. use a cordless drill, or even a wired drill, for the manual labor part and its very quick,

we upgraded my son's 2014 focus with come LEDs off amazon and it was amazing how different the output was. i have tried a bunch of generic off brand LEDs from amazon and have never had one burn out as long as we owned the vehicles. that focus, my son drove for 5 years and all across the usa with no issues.

and if you really want to get funky, nilite sells little LED cubes/pods and fog lights bars that are just as awesome as any other LED lights i have ever tried. you could easily mount a little 12 or 14 inch light bar down low and blast people with it. they sell beam and broad output bars and pods.

or, be old school and by some aircraft landing light bulbs from your local autopart store, mount them in those cheap 6" lawn mower housings you can get at the local hardware store, mount them to some little brackets off the hood hinges and destroy people. they are actual aircraft landing light bulbs. i did that little mod on an old wrangler in the early 2k and they lit up from my house to the water at the end of the street, over a half mile away, in a beam that was brighter than noon sunlight
