Hello! New here and I almost bought a '21 Ranger Tremor today with 600 miles on it for $45.5k but I'm thinking I'm going to wait for the 6G.

On to my question is, there a guide or something for ordering when the banks open? I have never ordered a vehicle before and I assume at launch it will be a crazy mad dash to get orders in fast. So I thought I would look to see if there was a guide but I can't find one. Anyone in here ever ordered before and want to give a little tutorial or even just suggestions?
Thank you!

Nothing at all yet. That's what we're all anxiously waiting for. Full pictures, specifications, order guides, and on-line configuration tool. There's tons of good information here to immerse yourself in. Also, the 6G has been available globally for more than a year, so the closest thing you can study now is a base model and Raptor as representative of ~90% what ours will be like- except for powertrains. Our will have 2 we can count on so far: The existing 2.3 + Raptor V-6, anything else is a mystery.

Thank you for the info. I have been looking at them online for years! I'm looking for information on how the ordering process will go once they open up the ordering banks. Do I just pick a dealership and go in? Is there a way to make sure they don't tack an ADM on it as soon as it hits the lot? I have heard there are some dealerships that guarantee that they won't upcharge but I can't seem to find the info. Are there any tips to make it a smoother process?

You can click through the Australian order banks. A YouTuber does it I think it’s all terrain nation. Really only two options beside colors. Either sticker pack or bead lock wheels

and then car expert has a video about choosing the right dealership. You are allowed to order from literally anywhere in the country so call around to find one that doesn’t try to add the dealer fee

I'm hoping I have more options than that since there is pretty good chance I don't get a Raptor, sadly. Thank you I'll go look for that video.

Ford hasn't detailed any purchase process yet. If you have tried to purchase a new Bronco or Maverick you could draw some clues from that experience, but it may or may not be what happens for the 6G Ranger. There's simply no way to prevent some dealers from adding Mark ups over MSRP. Again a lot of this stuff has been discussed in previous threads on here and there just isn't any short cuts to digging in and spending the hours learning everything you can to get up to speed.

The only tip I can offer is develop a personal relationship with a nearby dealership that has good reviews asap. The ability to pop in at any time to expedite the process once it is known and make sure they are doing everything exactly right per Ford's requirements is priceless IMO. You can then ask for a written guarantee they will sell it to you at MSRP and see what happens.

1 last thing, do NOT expect your dealer or sales person to know everything about the truck and procedures! I had to educate my dealership on everything myself buying my Maverick. They even called me "their expert' 😆 Same goes for everything Ranger now too. I did get exactly what I wanted in the end working closely with my sales guy.

Thank you! I just figured the process would be similar to the Bronco and Maverick and there would be those in here who did one of both of those and would have tips. Hadn't really seen a thread on it specifically so I asked.
