Was still able to order a 2024 today as they only added a couple of ugly colors, added the Blackout pkg, and dropped some of the chrome appearance items. 2024 will be much more to my liking. Can anyone tell me what priority code 10 is?

Curious why the base price of your Lariate is almost the price of a RRaptor.

Please forgive my ignorance, I’ve never ordered or owned a new vehicle before.

Information that I currently have is that I need to put down a $4000 non-refundable deposit. Is the deposit required to order a 2025 Ranger Raptor set by Ford or is that amount set by the dealer? Also, how much is too much for a non-refundable deposit?

any advice would be appreciated.

Any amount of deposit is too much if it's non-refundable. Find a new dealer if they're stating non-refundable. Plenty out there will do refundable deposits. Not like they can't sell it to someone else. It's not a Mach-E.

Don't pay a deposit whatsoever! If they won't order for you MANY OTHER dealers will with no deposit. It's a sought after vehicle. They'll put into inventory if you don't take it.

Non-refundable deposits are not binding unless it's part of a contract you sign ahead of time. In other words, if it's just verbal you could fight and get it back. That being said, if a dealer demands a non-refundalbe deposit tell them to FO and buy elsewhere.

$1000 refundable deposit for this truck is reasonable, especially for this truck that's in high demand. The deposit's more of a "hold my place in line" deposit than anything. If you don't put a deposit there may be 5 people who will, and they'll get in line before you. But if you walk they will easily sell it to someone else. That's why a $4K non-refundable is ludicrous. There's no risk for dealers in selling this vehicle. You don't want to do business with such a dealer. Ever.

That being said, if you put down a deposit make sure it's a deposit on a RRaptor that's part of dealer's allocation. Depending on area and size of dealer the RRaptor allocation may only be a few for the entire year. So if you're #12 on a list for 3 allocation...keep looking.
