not to get political but.... child labor is on the rise in the US right now. 12-15 year olds are being hired everywhere from factories to McDonalds. Think a 15 year old died recently at one.

Googling pulled up at least a couple. . I’m not a parent, but maybe the best thing parents can do is be sure they’re talking to their kids about what they’re doing at work. Hopefully discussion would help with kids learning about what could be unsafe & question it. Here I didn’t think they could do factory work until 18, but McD’s is certainly ok for a teen & still presents quite a few safety hazards.

In most states I think it's 16 without some kind of permit and most of the cases that have come up recently have been kids younger than that without said permit. Arkansas is... well recently notorious for pretty much demolishing child labor laws in their state and less than a couple of week later one died. It's just a mess and so little is being done about it its pretty infuriating. The Hyundai was is extremely bad because that was more or less slave labor going on there.
