2024 Tailgate Cap Replacement

Do any of you actually use the measurement markings molded into the tailgate cap?? Given I use my truck for more sport than work, I sit on my tailgate a lot pre and post workout only to find the measurement markings annoying and impossible to make sitting on the back very comfortable. Have any of you replaced that part and if so, what would you recommend? I'm having a hard time finding something that will fit my truck.

Yes, I do sit on the tailgate and find the markings uncomfortable on the back of my legs. I have made no changes to the edge of the tailgate but have installed a bed and tailgate mat.

I don't sit on my tailgate but I did put weather stripping over the scale to give me a better seal with my cover. Cheap and it might work for you

I sit on my tail gate quite a bit but never noticed the markings. Maybe in shorts.

it has a pretty good slope to the plastic and the metal has a bump before it. I’d think a towel would be a good thing to carry if you sit fir long periods

although I would be hard pressed to imagine when I would use that ruler.

I'm going to drive my truck right down into the river so I can use the ruler to measure my fish.

I use the ruler on the back for all the **** measuring contests my staff get into.

Take a 500 grit sand paper and make it more comfy
